Before the fight. Shawn was an un skilled brawler that would hit a brick wall on Spence and would never had a chance on winning before getting KOed.
Now all of a sudden Porter is suddenly great and the Thurman fight that is considered a clear close win for Thurman suddenly becomes a razor close fight that could have gone either way.Comment

I don't think he did ever have a chance of beating Spence. According to computerbox or whatever it is called Spence outlanded Porter 222 punches to 171 punches so that's a hell of a lot more punches. Spence landed more punches and power punches in 10 of the 12 rounds plus he scored a late round knockdown. Computerbox may not be perfect but they are neutral. They just count punches and don't have a favorite. Thurman clearly beat Porter years ago. Spence beat a better version of Porter by a wider amount that Thurman did. Porter is very good and would beat most welterweights and would probably beat Thurman in a rematch in my opinion. Porter has improved over the last few years while hurman has gotten worse judging by his last two fights. I think Spence s the best welterweight and would be the betting favorite to beat any other welterweight. The judge who had Porter beating Spence was way off and the other two judges had it right with a 116 to 111 win for Spence.Comment
