The narrative suddenly changes on Shawn Porter...

Before the fight. Shawn was an un skilled brawler that would hit a brick wall on Spence and would never had a chance on winning before getting KOed.

Now all of a sudden Porter is suddenly great and the Thurman fight that is considered a clear close win for Thurman suddenly becomes a razor close fight that could have gone either way.

I like shawn. He doesn’t care about looking pretty.. he’ll harrassed you nonstop and will not give you room to breathe. His style will be difficult for pacman to deal with at this age than spence’s..
His style will also trouble the smaller crawford.. he will not give a **** ass about your boxing skill..
I won’t be surprise if he KOes Mikey as well.

The narrative changes because shawn was a big underdog and he rose to the occasion. It’s only natural that people will be giving him due credit..

But i think thurman handled porter better than Spence did. Both were close fights.

What I find astonishing is how people are saying he won the fight just because he had the best night of his professional career. The Spence hate train is real.

He still came up short, but that's only a testament to how good Spence is. Shawn showed even more heart, grit, toughness, and skill then we thought he had. His eyes rolled to the back of his head in round 11 yet he only his glove touched the canvas. Unreal.

... back in 2015, Porter had to boil down at 144 in order to fight "big star" Broner... Porter used a stiff jab to get inside and he outworked Broner for most of the fight...

... now: "unskilled brawlers" aren't able to do such a job, actually...

Idk about Shawn being great, but idk that he'd have been 30-2-1 if he'd have come at all his previous opponents like he came at Errol. I definitely think Sept 2019 Shawn woulda beaten the Thurman that the June 2016 Shawn almost did.

And sh^t man boxing has dire consequences & can change on a dime often. Not long ago AJ was the man & Andy was a fat unmotivated guy. Not exactly like that now. And thats just how sh^t goes in boxing.

Shawn will be a problem for any fighter. Cant look good against this kind of fighter unless you hurt him bad.

... OK... but Thurman fought according his own style, while Spence said he wanted to beat Porter with Porter's own style...

Why, what differences were there? Spence just has a bad style, like I keep saying. He doesn’t like to trade, doesn’t mix offense and defense well. Thurman is great at trading, and when he was pacing himself he was bombing on Porter flush with counters. This is styles.
