Impossible from every angle fughin possible for last night Mr. Hazzard to have it scored that way
    Just impossible
Would love to hear him justify every single round he awarded to Porter
Even if he was scoring it strictly on aggression it would still be fughin impossible

Good posts...yes that was probably my earliest memory of a robbery...I think that was my first Lara fight and I have been a fan ever since.

Yeah I would love to see the refs publicly questions about their cards...of course that would expose that some of them are corrupt so it will never happen

I score the fight careful and as fairly as I can. My score is the only score that matters to me not anybody else's score. If the score of the fight is within 2 points of how I scored it either way I accept that. If the official score of the fight is 3 points off of my score iit's a bad score but not yet a robbery, If the fight score is 4 points of of mine it is getting into robbery country and 5 points off is a flat out robbery. Let's say I score the fight a 114 to 114 draw and a judge scores it for one guy 118 to 110 then to me that is a robbery. I thought Spence won most of the rounds by landing more and better punches in most rounds plus he scored the knockdown. No way in hell could I give Porter 6 rounds. The punch counters said Spence outlanded Porter 222 punches to 170 punches. That is a lot more punches. Spence landed more punches and power punches in 10 of the 12 rounds. I thought the two scores of 116 to 111 were a bit generous to Porter and the judge who scored it 115 to 113 for Porter robbed Spence. It should have been a clear UD for Spence in my opinion. Sometimes when a big underdog puts up a better fight than expected people start giving him rounds that were close but that he lost.

They start getting people like Hazzard or Adelaide out of there
Suspensions should be handed out and they should start from scratch before being handed big fights to judge

When you are overly bias towards one side or have an extreme desire to see a specific side lose and your desires are not accomplished.

That constitutes a robbery in NSB.

Seems like an obvious question...but I am curious as to how some on here score fights.

For me, a robbery is when I just cannot see a way to the guy getting the number of rounds needed to win, and that guy is given the victory.

I think in most fights a couple round spread is acceptable...there are generally 6-8 close rounds in a fight, and if you shade them 5-3 either way, then that could turn a 7-5 fight one way, into a 7-5 fight the other way...having a 'could go either way' fight happens about 5% of the time imo...95% of the time there is a clear winner, and only 1 winner.

I don't really see how people are saying Porter got 'robbed'...I gave him 6 rounds and I felt generous doing so...maybe he could have gotten to 7 rounds...but I think Spence could have won 7-8 rounds as well...that was an awkward fight to score for sure, as the aggressor was maybe not always landing more/cleaner shots.

Basically I just scratch my head at what we all consider robberies...I feel like I have seen quite a few in recent years...and I cannot even really take seriously the other side if they feel the guy who won did so legit...yet others swear Porter was robbed here, or Manny was robbed vs Horn, and I didn't see either of those happen.

yea, guys who call the Canelo/Golovkin fights a robbery... are ret4rded

Canelo CLEARLY won 5 rounds in the first fight... CLEARLY !!

nobody can dispute the 5 rounds that Canelo won... and in those 5 rounds, ALL of the judges agreed scoring those rounds for Canelo

many/most of the other 7 rounds... were nip-n-tuck... very close... and very difficult to score... so awarding ALL of those 7 rounds to Golovkin, and refusing to consider the possibility that Canelo may have edged one of those very close rounds... is ridiculous fanboy whining

and the result of the rematch was clear... the guy who scored a draw in the first fight was better... and his opponent was worse

                      no robbery there either

fanboys simply whine and cry when they don't get their way... busily creating corny threads attempting to convince everybody that they are unbiased
