  • Comments Thread For: Arum: Porter Is Very Limited; Spence Probably KOs Him

LAS VEGAS Bob Arum likes Shawn Porter personally. The outspoken promoter just doesn't think the WBC welterweight champion has much of a chance to upset Errol Spence Jr. on September 28. Arum even expects Spence to become the first opponent to stop Porter inside the distance.

I was watching Fight Plan with Teddy Atlas on YouTube today and he broke down the fight. I don’t think Porter’s team is capable of following what Teddy said but I do think Spence's Team will be doing exactly what he said tonight.

Yeah Horn, injured Benavidez and an absolutely destroyed and past prime Khan are less limited than Porter.

Is Arum trying to discredit a possible Spence victory in advance?

I agree but he is also attempting to make the fight less compelling. Either that or the old man has some true imagination.

This is no where near the walk in the park he has just described. Although that could be a potential outcome. Porter is a clearly a live dog in this one. Just don’t know if Kenny will let him take Errol’s brutality all fight? The potential for real violence is off the charts. This is must see TV!!!

What The F- let’s cut through the BS. Tired of entertaining this biggest name on resume BS spin.

If Horn fights Porter put that money on Horn bro, I got mine on Porter. You sound absolutely ridiculous. Please I need more of y’all. Let’s place our money where your spin is.

Arum, would be a much better promoter if he got back to hyping his fighters like Terrence Crawford.

He could do that instead of trying to take some shine of the other team’s sales. Clearly the latter just isn’t working. In sayin Porter probably gets knocked out he just made the fight that much more anticipated.

No one believes Porter is a bum not even the racists, he is too proven. Should this happen, the reception is going to be wow is this kid Spence special!!!

Watching the Porter vs Ugas fight again right now. No way Porter won this fight. All his punches are wide and wild. Ugas was landing the cleaner shots almost every round. And he was throwing good body shots and more technical punches than Porter. Not sure what strategy Porter and his corner had. Ugas didn’t seem to be hurt by any punches by Porter too.

I’ve watched this fight (3) times. The 1st time, the night of the fight, I thought draw. The 2nd time, when the Porter vs Spence was announced, I had Ugas by split decision. Today, majority decision by Ugas. Porter was aggressive in spots but it wasn’t effective aggression with clean shots landed. Not sure what fight the judges were scoring. And that 12th round, Ugas scored a knock down and the ref ruled it a slip. Spence, a more accurate puncher than Ugas, will pick Porter apart tonight to the head and body.

I'm not going to argue with you regarding the Pac-Horn decision since you've made up your mind.

But are the excuses for Khan and Benavidez?
