I agree. I watched that fight and he was tagging Spence alot during that fight. The fight was closer than alot of people think or want to admit.

Getting cart ahead of horse. One thing fans seem to forget... Porter is an iron clan tough as nails scrapper, and has the power to jolt Spence to his foundations. Even if Spence wins, he won't come out of this fight unscathed. Should be an interesting clash, all in all. Definitely looking forward to it.

Right, and he beat Porter pretty conclusively. He took risks that didn't pay off, but I think he's still a quality fighter. I think he's doing the right thing taking soft touches until he's completely healed.

Mikey Garcia stated that Porter came up to him after a tour press conference for advice within spence. It’s on YouTube. And Garcia told Porter his best chance is to get inside but it will be difficult to do against Spence. And Garcia told him NOT to try to box Spence. And remember Garcia said he would out box Spence before they fought so he should know.

I look at the fact that Porter, over the past 3 years, hasn’t stopped any welterweight but Berto, and he basically roughed and fouled him up. So I definitely don’t see him stopping Spence. His only option is to win a close decision. And he needs to get inside and get Spence on the ropes to do that like Mikey told him. As a matter of fact, Porter has only had 3 stops in 7 years (Berto, Malignaggi, & Bone).

Does anyone really believe that Porter has the skills to win a close decision against Spence, who is more fundamentally sound in all aspects? I seriously doubt it. And Spence has enough power to keep Porter from rushing in. Spence has stopped 5 out of 6 true welterweights in the past 3 years and everyone is having amnesia because he didn’t get Garcia out of there. Spence stopped Pederson, Algieri, Kell Brook, Bundu, and Ocampo, the last one with a body shot.

Can't put it much better than this. Anything can happen in boxing, but barring some crazy circumstance, Spence should have moderate difficulty for the first few rounds, and then beat Porter up down the stretch, with a stoppage being very possible. The physical disparities combined with the fact that Porter does NOT have the stamina to pressure Spence for 12 rounds tells the story.

I see this fight playing out exactly how you stated, Spence figuring out Porter after the first few rounds, gaining momentum and beating up Porter down the stretch, possibly stopping him.

Can can Spence say a Broken Brook was his toughest fight?

I am starting to loose faith in this guy if he keeps opening up his mouth. Great boxer with a small pea brain?

Well, a clash of heads might well have been the key to Spence’s success against Brook. All things considered, it’s not impossible that Spence could be on the wrong side of a similar fight changing clash tonight. If he is, it would certainly elevate this fights toughness quotient, for Spence anyway
