He should’ve KO’ed the lightweight coming up 2 weight classes to fight him. I think that tells us more about Mikey Garcia and his defense against KO’s is than it does about Spence’s power. If you try to fight Spence there’s a good possibility that you get put down. Porter can get put down, Broner caught him real good but I think this goes 12.

This Spence fella is basically admitting he's a huge favourite in this fight.
And he wants a past prime 40 yr old next.
This guy ought to be ashamed of himself.
He's been the favourite in every fight since the Brook fight.
When is he going to step up?
Move up and fight Lara, at least. Or Williams, for crying out loud.
All these are easy fights to make and he doesn't have to complain about people

I believe Spence should fight his fight and stay true to what brought him this far in boxing, and listen to his trainer. If the knock out comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. And Spence must beat Porter if he considers himself elite in this division anyway and to set the stage for the Crawford or Manny fight for another belt.

And Spence should want Manny next if he wins. He would make more money with that fight at Texas Stadium or Las Vegas or the MSG then he would with a Crawford fight next. Spence needs to try to get that fight within the next year before Manny retires or his skills start to take a nose dive. Every fighter that risks their life in the ring should target the biggest money fights when they get the opportunity to secure them and they are right in front of them. I think if Spence wins, he should go Manny next. If he wins that fight, go right for Crawford to unify the division. Then that’s a mega fight at its peak. I do wish Crawford could get a fight with Danny Garcia and beat him to make the Spence fight more interesting too. But if Spence gets a fight with Crawford and wins that fight, he needs to move up and take on a bigger challenge in the next division like a top contender. And then if he wins that fight, go right after Canelo. If he wants to be an all time great fighter.

He's gonna hammer Porter regardless if he tries to maul him or box him. Ugas outboxed Porter & shoulda got the nod against him. Score-wise it might be competitive early but if/when it gets to the second half of the fight, spence is gonna take over.

What a great fight. I’d pay to watch it again. Spence has the better technique but Porter had the gas tank. Both men will take something away from this fight
