I understand that Mikey was a smaller guy, but it showed that Spence can handle a fighter that wants to come in and brawl. Easter could only box prettily on the outside, but sorely lacked inside fighting skills in the trenches.

Easter was actually dominating Mikey when it was kept to a traditional boxing match. When Mikey discovered that Easter couldnt win a street fight on the inside...it was a wrap...Mikey put his head down, bulled inside, and won the fight.

I do think this will end by a stoppage, the reason Spence in my opinion didn't stop Mikey is because Mikey fought to survive. Porter doesn't tend to do that and I believe something big will land on him and put him out.

Carson Jones whooped Kell Brook in the UK way before Errol Spence jr., BIG DEAL.

Kell Brook was the underdog in his home-country after jumping to middleweight and dropping back down permanently injured. Errol Spence was the clear favorite going into the Brits backyard according to the Moneyline.

I'm kinda tired of this "Mikey fought to survive" argument that keeps being pushed out there. Mikey was getting hit with everything but the kitchen sink. He stood in front of Spence and and got the dog sh-it beat out of him. Covering up and getting pounded to the body, hooked to the head and the guard split isn't fighting survive.

To me fighting to survive is constantly retreating, holding on, circling the ring, avoiding as many punches as possible without throwing anything back, and completely refusing to engage. Mikey was a fat slug there to be hit and occasionally threw ineffective retaliation punches. Spence just couldn't stop him. Nothing wrong with that, can't stop them all.

Mikey knew he was massively down on the scorecards, he in my opinion fought in second gear. He never once chased the fight, he never tried to put it on Spence which he obviously needed to do midway through the fight.

Mikey doesn't commit to an attack the same way Porter does, Mikey never wanted to chase for anything because he knew the guy infront of him would punish him.
