LAS VEGAS If Shakur Stevenson defeats Joet Gonzalez, the emerging featherweight contender can't imagine remaining in that division much longer. There's only one fight, according to Stevenson, that could keep him at featherweight even if he wins the vacant WBO 126-pound crown when he faces Gonzalez on October 26 in Reno, Nevada. That would be a title unification match with England's Josh Warrington.

I get the feeling Loma will retire before Stevenson gets himself in position for a title shot, there's already 2 youngsters close to a shot against him anyway in Lopez and Haney. These 2 on on their best night have the best chance of beating Loma in the next year or 2, I don't reckon he'll be lacing up after 2 years time. The only others that could become good enough to beat Loma (and I count Stevenson among the few) won't have enough time to lock in a shot, and the others apart from Haney and Lopez likely to get a shot will probably only be good enough to provide a competitive loss.

Haney @ 135, or Stevenson @ 130, I'm good with either one! Still think Farmer should move up and fight Haney @ 135 while Loma handles his business with the Top Rank LWs! That would be a good fight, and a good test for Haney, since Tevin Farmer is a southpaw!

The good thing is, I think Loma is smart enough to know this won't wait for them forever
