Garcia is a counter puncher though, whereas Pac is more of an ambush fighter which would make a far more competitive fight.

I am not saying that it is right but he has that option. He does not have to unify if he doesn't want to.

However, I do agree with your original premise however. If Pac, is going to remain an active fighter and not retire; Then yeah he should fight the other elite fighters of the welterweight division without holding the WBA title hostage or just simply relinquish it.

If he's two old then he shouldn't be fighting then. However, I do believe that he will inevitably attempt to unify the welrterweight division but first things first. He is going to fight either Mikey Garcia or Danny Garcia as his tuneup.
