Canelo is one of the best fighters and it would be some achievement beating Kovalev, although I must say I doubt he could beat the very skillful champion Bivol. But fair play, Kovalev isn't an easy gimme, there is some challenge even though he is on the slide.

Floyd fought just about every major fight that way. Manny 5 years late, Oscar 1 year from retirement, Cotto past, Mosley a old man, the list keeps going lol.
But whatever, that was the best thing for Canelo, a zero means nothing.
If Canelo wins this I would think he gets placed as high as Floyd possibly higher. If he then fights Andre Ward and beats Ward, then what are you going to say?
At that point there will be no way to deny Canelo's greatness!

Huh?, you can't use the word "*******" on this website? Lol! I had to edit the spelling of *******jack to krackerjack so it wouldn't be automatically censored.
Canelo got a raised status not a demotion!
You haters are truly in a world of your own.
Charlo has already been beat at 160 as well by Matt but got a very nice gift. Furthermore, Charlo has fought nobody!!
He talked trash to Danny, then Danny should him he was the real man and Charlo shut his mouth but that's a fight that should have happened.
Andrade, Charlo and GGG all need to get fighting each other and the winners can get in line.
Canelo has beat the top 2 in almost straight fashion.
It's time these fighters do something besides talk Canelo's name and show why they deserve a shot at Canelo.

Why wouldn't any of them not want to jump at the money, the challenge and the legacy it will add to any of there career's if it's that easy?
Fact is it's not, it's just the fact Canelo is doing it and it doesn't matter if Canelo was fighting a 20 year old prime Mike Tyson, there would be a issue because it's Canelo.
Seriously, it's really like that.
Kovalev is the best name at 175. Yes he is starting to slow down but Buddy has got him back to boxing.
Hell less then 3 years ago Kovalev in most everybody's eyes bear Ward the 1st fight. Got truly ball beat in the 2nd but rightfully lost. Not mentally all there against Alvarez but was winning and got caught. But picked up Buddy, fought a rematch against a undefeated Champion that just Knocked him out the fight before.
Yet Kovalev out boxed him every round and took back the belt.
Then he just fought a young hungry Yarde that his corner told him to throw everything including the kitchen sink at Kovalev in the 8th to try and KO Kovalev, which he did land some great shots but Kovalev came out in the 9th and took total control. Kovalev only lost 2 rounds.
So truly, I think most people are overlooking Kovalev very much and I think it's mainly because Canelo is on the other side

Canelo ducked Charlo who arguably lost to Korobov (who?) and his cherrypick is ATG HOF career LHW Kovalev.
Great theory kiddo
By the way Mr. MIDDLEWEIGHT CA$HNELO fought that boy Danny that had Jermall all shook up and stuttering. And Saul was Ca$h (as always)Last edited by hmc87; 09-24-2019, 05:34 AM.

LMAO. Funny part is you want to claim that but what about GGG.
GGG said he would fight anybody from 154-168 if it was a good fight!
Didn't get any better then Canelo minus Floyd at the time and GGG refused to fight Canelo at 154 or 155!
So that kinda blows back in your face right there.
All you haters forget the parts that your little GGG did.

“I’m not a middleweight,” Alvarez said when discussions veered to a potential showdown with IBF and WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. “I’m a super welterweight. That’s my weight class. I wanted to fight this time for some sort of title at super welter.”
In just a couple years he is fighting at 175... so much for “not being a middleweight”
True but Canelo seriously didn't know how his body would perform. He was under the assumption that the lighter he could weigh in the stronger he would be in a fight but when he moved up and fought GGG the 2nd time he truly found out his body does much better and then he fought Rocky a little heavier. He looked great, looked stronger and says he felt stronger.
I think truly he might be a solid 168lber maybe even 175! We will have to wait and see.
Remember he started pro at 15 so he has been killing his body before he ever had any chance to see where he should truly campaign.
