That WBA "regular" belt shouldn't count. Smith has the real belt.

Henry Armstrong didn't have a cheap "regular" title for one of his belts.

The WBO's rules don't allow fighters to hold belts simultaneously in different weight divisions.

This is f'n gold. Love it.

He can fight whomever he wants and call that a belt and then fight anybody and call that a defence. Great marketing, he's doing better then what Floyd did.

Canelo doesn't hold the wbc belt, Jermall Charlo does. The wbc stripped Canelo because he refused to defend the title against Charlo. That krackerjack box belt they gave him means absolutely nothing.

And people wonder how fighters get away with claiming titles and belts that they really didn't earn or deserve. Just look at the boxing media, the writers and reporters, they're the ones perpetuating and enabling all the bs that these fighters and promoters throw out there to confuse the fans and trick the fans.

Huh?, you can't use the word "*******" on this website? Lol! I had to edit the spelling of *******jack to krackerjack so it wouldn't be automatically censored.

Wow, Canelo has really filled out lately.
Remember it seems like just yesterday he refused to move from his own weight class, caneloweight (155).

“I’m not a middleweight,” Alvarez said when discussions veered to a potential showdown with IBF and WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin. “I’m a super welterweight. That’s my weight class. I wanted to fight this time for some sort of title at super welter.”

In just a couple years he is fighting at 175... so much for “not being a middleweight”

There is no rehydration clause against Kovalev! It's 175 and fight night whatever!!
He beat GGG, beat Jacobs, fought Rocky for a WBA regular title which I did not hear any of you *****ing at Manny P. for having a reg WBA belt!
Andrade will get his turn in the future and Canelo did not lose the WBC belt nor was he stripped! He was raised to a higher status.
It's funny how you people hate on Canelo so much yet nobody else is fighting any competition close to what Canelo is doing right now.
Look at who Charlo, Andrade and GGG have fought over the last few fights when they could have tried to fight each other but are scared to take a lose and are babysitting there record's. It's pathetic!

Who do you see that would go up and fight Kovalev besides Canelo? I didn't see anybody trying to make any kind of moves besides trying only to fight Canelo. It does not work that way, get in line!
Also I don't recall any other boxer over the last 20 years fight as many good fighters in a row like Canelo has been doing. Nor have a I seen a resume look half as good as Canelo's by another 28 year old!
                  That's nothing but straight facts!
Oscar was the last fighter truthfully that fought all the big names and when they were still hot not washed up.
I know a lot of people don't like him and that's all good and well but you still have to respect his resume and the way he actually built that resume!

                    Very much agreed!
It gets better though. Everybody is saying he needs to fight Andrade and Charlo which neither fighter have done anything at 160.
Yet if Canelo beats Kovalev, he will most likely fight Andre Ward after that if he looks and feels good at 175. It's already being thrown out there.
What are these haters going to say then?
Watch though, they will claim he is coming out of retirement and he is washed up to LMFAO!!!😂🤣😂🤣

You'll had no issue when Manny had a WBA regular, LMAO. You haters will never stop hating on Canelo!
Get over it already. Quit being jealous of this man's success.
