What’s worse however is that if everyone says Kovalev has a hard time on the scales or looks drained at weigh ins but Canelo wouldn’t at this “natural weight” then what the hell was Krusher doing at LHW his whole career? Derp derp

Wouldn’t Kovalev be faster, 100%, if he were at Cruiser? Oh my bad wait, realistically Cruisers are drained Heavyweights

he should come in at his best fighting weight... and he should be intending to win that fight as the smaller man... style-wise, I mean...

he should weigh what he needs to weigh, in order to win a 12-round boxing match against a much larger opponent

he will not want to absorb too much punishment from Kovalev, at the end of those punches is not the place to be

Canelo should come in at his best fighting weight... Cotto weighed 153 and 153... in consecutive fights, that had limits of 157 and 155 respectively

    I think 168'ish... no more than 170

Canelo didn't destroy G or Jacobs. Hes not going destroy Kov. I see a unanimous decision coming his way.

especially considering he started out at 140lbs.

IF this fight is at 175 lb, and IF there are no weight clauses then I expect Kovalev to win. He is the superior boxer and puncher but if Canelo wins, this will be his best, and only worthwhile win in years.

Cruiserweight is a strange one because it's such a large range.

You are not getting on the scales at 180 or 185 to fight someone who gets on the scales at 199 and blows up to 215 in the ring. You'll make every effort to fight at 175 even if that means coming in slightly or very weight-drained.

I'm saying that generally, not for Kovalev as he's always seemed to handle 175 well. But who knows, the body changes and maybe he isn't in decline due to age but because of being drained at the weight, or a combination. Only his camp knows.

The bookies have it 4-1 and they rarely get it wrong. Kovalev is here just to lose as he is long finished especially after he has been Ko'd twice recently. Easy win for drug cheat Canelo by dodgy points as usual as how they robbed GGG etc.

Kovalev needs to KO Clenelo just to get a draw

There are some things speaking against Kovalev winning:
                    • He is getting older
                    • He just hat a gruelling fight, from which he needs to recover

However I feel the he will still wipe the floor with Canelo. There is just a limit for the size one can overcome with talent. I predict a brutal beat-down of Canelo.

If that scenario is to come true then Kovalev will have to slow Canelo down first. Canelo will be very mobile in the first few rounds so I don't envisage Kov landing many right hands. Best strategy for Kov is to jab like a motherfucker first 4 rounds and hope that is enough to slow Canelo down a bit.

Best strategy for Canelo is fight like Canelo/ GGG one to tire out and slow down Kov because I don't think Kov has the same endurance as Golovkin.
