Canelo has never been on the canvas and he has felt the power of GGG in two different fights. According to people here GGG has legendary power and has knocked down heavyweights in sparring?

This means that Canelo has a steel chin and therefore can be nicknamed the man of steel. I personally believe Canelo will quickly realize that Kovalev will not be able to hurt him and this will enable him to stay aggressive on the inside like he did with Fielding, if not I can see Kovalev coasting to a decision keeping Canelo at a distance all night.

I'm Team Kovalev but Canelo deserves all the respect of the world for fighting Kovelev at the full 175 limit without any weight-clause.
But even though the size-difference this is a very tough fight for Kovelev and a 50-50 fight. Any result is possible here.

The more of these type of headlines come
out the more odds go down.

Started from 7-1 to 3-1 after making this fight seem dangerous

Canelo started his career at 140 lbs. Granted he was 15 years old at the time. Per BoxRec, he fought at the junior welterweight limit as a 16 years old as well.

On the same token, Kovalev was fighting at 140 lbs. as an amateur in Russia at 17 years old.

Canelo's last fight at the welterweight limit occurred when he was 19 years old and he never fought anyone of consequence at the weight.

If we're giving credit for merely existing at a certain weight at any age in a boxing ring, then Canelo and Kovalev share the same starting weight, 140 lbs.

To emphasize that what Reynoso said is not out of line. Canelo is a naturally smaller man going up against someone that is considered a hard puncher even against big 175 pounders.

Kovalev proved to have historic 1 punch ko power against guys who struggle to make 175. Canelo fought his first 40 fights at 147.

Kovalev actually started his amateur career as a middleweight at 11 years old.

I'll grant you that he did move up and down in weight divisions after that. But amateur bouts are only 3 rounds so any severe weight draining wouldn't have the same pronounced effect that it would in professional bouts like the ones Canelo was fighting in as a teenager.

Again, Canelo fans want to create all these illusions. Like Kovalev being a 1-punch fighter. Canelo has a neck like a steer and one of the best chins in the biz but you want to bring up welterweight?? Why not be honest and admit the fight is very unlikely to end from 1 punch from Kovalev. Seriously, why?

I don't get why I can't be honest about Canelo without both his fans and his haters getting pissed off.

I still wonder how the HELL Canelo survived this so-called LEGENDARY POWER of Golovkin for 2 fights?!

                    2 FCKIN FIGHTS!!

How the hell did he do that?!

So a guy that knocks out big light heavyweights with a jab and even killed a man in the ring can't get a one-punch knockout against Canelo who has never fought at 175 before?

Why is that so hard to believe?

I don't think it will happen because Canelo's defense has improved so much over the years. But not because Kovalev doesn't have the power to do it against a naturally smaller man.
