I don't follow UFC at all, but I'm curious what the price for this PPV will be? From what I understand you need both a ESPN+ subscription plus you need to pay for the PPV... If I was a casual fight fan and I had to choose between 74.95 or 20.00, it would be an easy choice. Regardless I don't think their fans crossover as much as people here think.
Its 2019. Ill be watching boxing til the big UFC fight come on & then switch back to boxing. Or if they on at the same time Imma get another screen going & watch both.
I will say I do kinda dig it while finding it sorta funny Dana is turning into WBC Guy & making a Baddest Mfer belt for this one. Guess The Rock is gonna strap up the winner.
It’s not like they’re PPV. Both will be on a streaming service, so the winner will be the better fight, with the bigger names. I know who Nate Diaz is, but I think Canelo vs Kovalev is a more intriguing fight. And you don’t have to pay $65-75 for Canelo-Kovalev, that’s what would’ve stopped people from watching it. All you need to do is pay what, $100 for a 1 year sub of DAZN? That’s how much I paid I think and people are willing to pay that for a bunch of PPV caliber fights.
I'm not sure their audiences really overlap that much. I tend to watch boxing on a regular basis, and UFC only rarely. I'll be watching Canelo-Kovalev.
I think the only boxing fans that would normally watch ufc over boxing are the casual type fans. I don’t think there is much crossover either, different demographics and different age groups

I think he is watching dazn and seeing how they are fairing since he wants to move all of his boxing to Ufc fight pass which won’t attract most American boxing fans
