Boxing fans get a GREAT fight and for both Canelo and Kovalev... there is no downside to the fight, no matter who wins or loses.
I think TRUE boxing fans should be really happy with this fight.
For Canelo... he is facing a powerful and dangeour fighter who is not a roll over.
For Kovalev, yes, he is facing a smaller guy, and anyone else coming up from 160 to 175 he would KTFO in under 3 rounds... BUT... that guy is perhaps the most talented boxer of this decade.

More interesting is knowing that this fight will be in Vegas, and Kovalev WILL NOT be getting a FAIR decision... he will need to either Dominate Canelo like he did Yarde or Hopkins... better Hopkins.... OR he will need to KO Canelo.
For Canelo... it will be about surviving the first 5 or 6 rounds to see if Kovalev will slow down and then try to KO him.

Let's be honest here... Canelo had stamina issues in the GGG fights and I think Jacobs fight. He is moving up so he will be slower here... is he going to get caught by Kovalev?
...and those jabs are not going to be powder puffs... but 175 lb LHW Jabs from a guy known to have a heavy jab.
Man, all that has me more hyped for this. Maybe the best lead up to a fight all year.

Though I wonder what weight Canelo walks around at...If he walks around at 172-178, he is cutting a little weight for MW & SMW. I wonder if it's possible that he actually has more stamina at 175, not needing to shed a pound. Well I know it's possible, but I wonder if it's probable. There is at least the possibility he has more stamina at 175 than 160...
We really don't know if he can bring the power or speed up. We shall find out doe bros !

That would be impossible. Nelo could never be as inactive as Mikey was vs Spence. The probability of that happening has to be less than zero.

You know... I see Canelo vs Kovalev right now the same as Khan vs Canelo.

Khan was outboxing Canelo... until he got caught.

I can certainly see Canelo outboxing Kovalev... until Kovalev catches him with a heavy jab and sets up that right hand.

Would it be a one punch KO? Likely not... but we know Kovalev can certainly finish.

Yup. And I'm not sure I believe that GGG has a better, more powerful jab, than Kov.
Could Nelo get caught...and would his "iron chin" give in ? -- We'll see...
That's why I'm looking forward to it. Just like AJ/Ruiz...we'll see...
