1. clean punching - GGG was clean jabbing Canelo All night.

2. Effective Aggressiveness - GGG was the clear aggressor in the first fight, in the seccond even though Canelo stood his ground most of the time and some times made GGG go backwards and props for that, GGG was still being the aggressor most of the time.

3. Ring Generalship - both fighters excel in that! both have experience.

4. Defense - that's something that Canelo exceeds, still GGG aggressiveness is his defense, and even when people think that he has no defense, he just does not waste energy on big def moves, he moves his head slightly and make people miss, takes a a step backwards or just blocks with his gloves which he is effective with those kind of moves even if people don't notice them.


all in all both are great fighters, still GGG did win both fights, 1rst was clear, 2nd GGG edged it, Canelo made 1 out of 10 people think he won with him standing his ground and flashy moves.

Ohh! and those Judges that you say are professionals do tend to make mistakes, especially when there is money involved, indeed boxing is the most corrupt sport right now.

I think 1 and 4 go hand in hand and as far as 1 goes I’ll take quality over quantity anysag specially when you miss more than 500+ punches like ggg did, I give canelo 1 and 4... number 2 is a toss up, was ggg was more aggressive than canelos in the first fight and I think canelos was more aggressive in fight 2... difference is that I don’t see how effective gggs aggressiveness was in the first fight when he missed plenty and canelo came out clean, look at how much more aggressive canelos was in the rematch and look at gggs face for reference..
Number 3 is a toss up in first fight because was ggg cutting the ring or was canelo making ggg follow him??? Up to you the second fight canelos was the general. Canelo won both fights, outboxed him in first fight, ggg cries Wah wah wah stand and fight me!!! I like Canelo against Sergey because of how he fought GGG in the rematch. I was listening to GGG’s former trainer Sánchez and someone asked him about Canelo vs Sergey. And he said, Canelo is quicker, has good foot movement and improved his head movement a lot in recent years. GGG has a better, more polished jab than Sergey and he actually hits harder but Canelo was able to handle all of that well in both fights. He said Canelo will slip the jab and make constant counters and deposits to the body and stop Sergey from somewhere around the 7th to 9th round. So far a lot of trainers and former great fighters have seen Canelo either winning or stopping Sergey. And I see the fight playing out that way too. I do agree that Sergey a few years ago would be too much for Canelo but not this version. Beating Yarde and the other Álvarez in a rematch is one think, beating Canelo at the peak of his prime is another.
