I don't think that Golovkin will ever get his trilogy fight with Canelo
fcuk Golovkin... he should have behaved like a champion
he demanded that Canelo stand and fight him like a Mexican
so... he should have been man enough to give Canelo credit
then he should have jumped on Andrade AND Charlo to force the trilogy fight
champions come back and prove they are the best... Golovkin did not

nope, you missed the point... he should have done that anyway

Canelo will now take on every viable fight that he has in his way, and only turn to Golovkin when there's nothing else.
Kovalev is on the docket now, and Andrade, Jermall Charlo, and Saunders seem to be the short list for the next fight were he to win (depending on how the fight were to go, a rematch with Kovalev were he to lose isn't an impossibility). Mix in 'Zurdo' Ramirez and possibly a guy like Errol Spence Jr, and Golovkin is going to likely be stuck waiting for a while.
I also don't see how DAZN and Canelo can continue to work together unless Canelo-GGG happens, and they probably want it to happen at least twice more...based on the purses they are paying out, that is about the only fight that will actually make them money...I just can't really see the Canelo-DAZN marriage working without GGG-Canelo mixing it up, probably a couple more times.

Anthony Joshua is beholden to Sky Sports, and Wilder is loyal to Haymon/Finkell who have their own plan.
So DAZN is on for the ride; sell the heck out of Kovalev-Alvarez (controlling what they can do in house by also building up Andrade and Saunders), and then sell whatever fight Canelo decides to take.
The moment the viable fights are gone, Canelo will bend his ear to make the Golovkin fight, unless a new viable fight emerges (Spence Jr, Munguia)

These stans like jajabboom were then saying Canelo would fight 11 rocky Fielding bums on DAZN. They claimed that hed never fight Jacobs or Kovalev & he schooled Jacobs & is now jumping up vs the only viable lhw thats ranked consensus #1-2. Now suddenly these exact same nuthugging clowns act as if Kovalev isn't on paper the most difficult, prestige to resume giving opponent.
These same stans have zero problems with ggg as usual fighting ultra bums then C levels for vacant gifted trinkets at mw.(yet again canelos fighting true champions much bigger in size at different weight classes & ggg yet again contradicted what he said while ducking Charlo/Andrade both.)
Suddenly his stance isn't "I don't want to fight for belts no mo" (akaof Charlo/Andrade/Jacobs 2),he won't rematch Jacobs, won't fight the most credible opponents for most money & belts but will fight Jacobs vanquished foe for yet another vacant trinket.
Ggg is the biggest hypejob in Boxing history & it eats his fans to the core that the guy they hate keeps shutting their traps temporarily til they get the chapstick out again 4 BBBG..Last edited by kushking; 09-19-2019, 04:07 PM.

But canelo is fooling himself into thinking that he's clarified anything in determining who was the better fighter between him and ggg. Just because 2 of 3 judges favored him by 1 round in the rematch doesn't establish dominace. Guess he doesn't have the same comptetative edge as guys like Barrera and morales who kept going at it in order to try and prove who was better.

AJ's earning power has diminished, I agree...and Wilder seems beholden to his current group, though to be fair I don't think he brings in any real money, not more than even someone like GGG.
But as you alluded to, the only guy who really brings in money is Canelo, so he will have some rope...I just would think with all that money they are paying him, and with their pretty clear desire to have him fight GGG, I can't imagine them feeding Canelo $30 per fight...he probably only deserves that amount for 1 fight right now, and that is vs GGG.
