Which is the better fight? Mayweather vs CaNelo (152) or Canelo vs Kovalev?

This paradoxical scenario will remind people how critical the discussions were before, even when people wanted to troll about Floyd giving a “boxing lesson.”

Floyd fought TWICE at 154 before Canelo.

Canelo never fought a P4P LHW.

I keep telling heads that if Canelo or Cotto was so “easy” for Floyd at 154 or 152, why didn’t Floyd fight for their Lineals belts and run it back at Middleweight? Both Cotto and Canelo said they’d take those rematches but of course Floyd moved the A side needle for any narrative.

Point is, how is that Canelo haters say “JCC Jr. was drained” or Canelo imposed on Jacobs and now Kovalev. Doesn’t this criticize automatically prove the point that 152 wasn’t ideal when Canelo was having trouble making weight since Cintron?

Floyd didn’t want 154 with Canelo.

But Canelo is open to 175?

    Am I missing something?

I apologize to the diehard Floyd fans whom lived the moment.

You have no clue in weight draining but Mayweather does thats why he didn't drain himself for Marquez he just paid the fine

I'm no particular fan of Canelo due to his a-side antics BUT his fight with Floyd meant nothing because of the catchweight, absolutely nothing.

This fight with Kovalev, for all appearances at least, looks like a great fight.

I think Canelo vs Kovalev is the better fight because there is no catchweight or morning weigh in to my knowledge. Canelo is doing it the right way and Mayweather did it the CS way.

Kovalev is not on any reputable top 10 pfp list today. His days on that list ended when he was KOed by Ward and even more ended when he was KOed by Alvarez. Try to stick with facts and the truth and leave your usual lies and BS out of the thread. Still Canelo vs Kovalev is a better fight than Mayweather fighting Canelo at a 152 pound catchweight.
