This paradoxical scenario will remind people how critical the discussions were before, even when people wanted to troll about Floyd giving a “boxing lesson.”
Floyd fought TWICE at 154 before Canelo.
Canelo never fought a P4P LHW.
I keep telling heads that if Canelo or Cotto was so “easy” for Floyd at 154 or 152, why didn’t Floyd fight for their Lineals belts and run it back at Middleweight? Both Cotto and Canelo said they’d take those rematches but of course Floyd moved the A side needle for any narrative.
Point is, how is that Canelo haters say “JCC Jr. was drained” or Canelo imposed on Jacobs and now Kovalev. Doesn’t this criticize automatically prove the point that 152 wasn’t ideal when Canelo was having trouble making weight since Cintron?
Floyd didn’t want 154 with Canelo.
But Canelo is open to 175?
Am I missing something?
I apologize to the diehard Floyd fans whom lived the moment.
