Can someone explain how Kovalev is the weakest at 175?

Beterbiev has been dropped by Callum Johnson and Jeff Paige Jr.

Gvoz was almost KO'd by Tommy Karpency. Outside of Stevenson, what are his top 3 wins?

Bivol - couldn't stop a washed up Pascal. His best win is Sullivan Barrera

Kovalev is not only ranked #1, but his resume consists of Pascal x2, Cleverly, Hopkins, Yarde, Alvarez, Shabranskyy, Chilemba, etc... I lost count how many Ring top 10 wins he has. Oh and most believe he beat Ward in the first fight.

Exactly how is he the weakest link? Why, because the other 3 don't have losses?

Well, the other 3 haven't fought anyone worth a darn. Not one of them goes through Kovalev's resume undefeated.

The other 3 are young and undefeated. Bivol could certainly beat any Kovalev opponent.Kovalev's best opponent was Ward. Ward lost a couple of rounds to Barrera and could not stop him. Bivol won every round from Barrera and the KOed him. He easily outperformed Ward. Bivol beat Pascal by a mile. I have seen hem all fight and Kovalev is the oldest and weakest at this time. Even that rookie nobody from England almost stopped him with body shots, Keep on tryong to make a case for Kovalev as the top guy at 175 but everybody knows that is not true. The odds makers have him a big underdog to Canelo because he is old and shot. Canelo would not be as much of a favorite if he was fighting any of the young champions.

No one said any of them have a better resume just that all 3 of them will be the favorite if they fought Kovalev

He’s not but the canelo haters find anything to discredit him.

Gvodyzk or however you spell his name is clearly the weakest of the title holders at 175.

You are dogging bad moments the other champs had while not mentioning Kovalev getting stopped twice recently & having a pretty bad moment himself last time out vs a mfer who dont spar.

Thats why Kovalev is seen as the weak link at 175.

Beterbiev is 35 in January. I think he's a 60-40 fight in favour of Kovalev tbh.

Bivol I think was a little overhyped, he got chin-checked against old Pascal and didn't react well. Stylistically tougher fight for Canelo but you couldn't say he's a stronger champion than Kovalev.

Gvozdyk maybe has the best claim but outside of old Stevenson, a weak resume.

But I think what is key here is that Kovalev is by far the biggest name of the four, and that's what led to Canelo's choice. The others aren't shifting PPV sales.

Would Canelo have fought a prime Kovalev? No, he waited GGG out at 160, but that doesn't mean Kovalev is the weakest champion at 175.

A fighter who almost killed a man in his backyard is the weakest title holder.

Ward dropped Barrera after just moving to 175, Beterbiev is 35 so how is that young?? Bivol beat old Pascal who Kovalev beat 2 times before him so what is that to celebrate?? your posts make 0 sense

Kovalev may be the best but he has a lot of wear and tear. Him getting knocked out by a light puncher like Ward and Álvarez and almost stopped by Yarde suggests his days are numbered. He could have unified but at this stage of his career decided to go for the payday. I don't blame him but surely Alvarez chose him for a reason.
