The young man from California , Richard Torres, in the super heavyweights lost in a bad way, some big deal Suleiman is making of the fact that the man he was fighting has pro rights, but I think he just got caught by a better fight, hope he comes back stronger from the loss

This thread should be a sticky, it may not be of interest to the casual fan boys but it's the future, some good fights going down.

Are the semi finals streaming soon? Says it starts 3 pm in Russia? Which is 3 am my time lol.

I wanna see Andy Cruz Gomez and Julio La Cruz fights.

Andy Cruz Gomez vs Ilya Popov was quite a performance. I'd heard talk of Popov but that Cuban kid made him look pretty bad.

I agree should be a sticky, it's a shame nobody is paying attention to it, i watched just a couple of fights from the first day due to my busy working & training schedule but I'm going to watch every single fight on youtube. I enjoyed the Tcheck middleweight's first fight.

Yeah if a facebook streamed fight is worthy of a stick then so should top level amateur tournaments.

And my assumption about the streaming was correct it starts in 2 hours if anyone is in a proper timezone to watch it live or like me cannot sleep lol

            And this is the schedule:

Was not happy to see Torrez getting KOed, I don't like this pro's fighting in these touny's. Well in the states we still have Davis he looks very good from what little I have seen hopefully he can bring home the gold!!
McGrail is one of the most complete fighters we’ve produced in a long time IMO. Most of our top amateur’s are essentially “fencers” in the sense they can only box at range. This kid can box both in the pocket and on the back foot, creates a lot of angles and also has excellent defence. We don’t produce many amateur’s like McGrail in terms of style. He’s got a tough fight against Lazaro Alvarez up next at 3m UK time.

There’s no way pro’s should be fighting in these amateur competitions. AIBA need to refine that rule immediately, Jalolov is having his 7th pro fight at the end of the month.

Not seen much of Davis, I seen he’s progressed into the final, got a tough matchup against Cruz though, I think that’s the guy who beat him in the final of the Pan Am’s, right?

Thought McGrail was hard done by there, not screaming robbery by any means as all rounds were close. Experience was the key factor, Alvarez managed the clock perfectly throwing the right shots at the right time to steal rounds.

Great to see McCormack progressing to the final, fancy him to beat Zamkovoy and bring home the gold.

Good experience for Ben Whittaker but he was slightly outclassed today tbh.

1st its really nice to talk with a knowledgeable adult. Will have to deff check this kid out in the finals with your glowing endorsement. I think Cordina has a very good footwork and uses it to create good angles, and has a good defense too. Always thought he was better then Kelly who seemed to get more press. Buatsi is more of a stalker type, but has very good form and of course a very good puncher. As far as Davis he looks very good from what I have seen. He is fast and has very tight technique, but yea he has a tough opponent who did beat him in the PA games although I think it was a MD or SD. It also rings a bell that he lost to him again in a duel meet I think, but that also was very close if I remember. Hopefully he can get the win this time, because he is all we have left after Torrez got KOed by a pro.

Yea Jalov(sp?) was clearly the better fighter, but its still BS with these pro's in these tourny's. Torres I think will need to be a cruiser to have success, not sure he can make that weight but don't see him doing well at heavy.
