It’s a damn good fight. Hell, it’s a bad matchup for both. Canelo has to get inside against the biggest and strongest man he’s ever faced with one of the best jabs in all of boxing and a bonafide big puncher.

This is a bad matchup for Kovalev only if Canelo can get inside... we forget Kovalev had the skills to out box Ward at some point.

Kovalev is the weakest of the current champs at 175 but he’s also the most accomplished (though oldest). The weakest at 175 is by no means a bad thing. He’s a real and deserving champion.

yep they are scared canelo will be able to do what the great broner did...although canelo is really only moving up 1 division since hes already been 168 "champ" while the great broner did 2 at once. they just dont make um like they used to

                I agree, it's a good fight. I know I'll watch.
I think a lot of the criticism is a reaction to Alvarez fans hyping the fight as David vs Goliath.

Because Kov is far and away the biggest draw at 175? And the biggest draw at 168 or 175?

And he the most vulnerable guy with an obvious weakness to body punching which is Canelo bread and butter.

                      This is perfect match-making.

Like i said is still a good fight. But i stopped sipping kool-aid decades ago lol
