which boxer currently has the most delusional fan base?

Imho most fanbases are within reason on the fighter they support...maybe a little over-board but within reason.
As fans we tend to go overboard on the 'enemies' of our favorite fighters...which just comes off looking silly to me personally.
I would fully disclose here that I am a 'fan' of GGG and think Ward was very over-rated as a boxer...but they weren't exactly real rivals, and my analysis is just based on what I have seen from them in the ring in their fights.
But in general I don't see how some can, as an example, love a Manny Pacquaio so much and then hate a Floyd Mayweather so much, and vice versa...they had very similar careers and very similar successes.
So yeah I think fans are a little 'favorable' in hyping up their own fighters...but seem way over the top in hating on other guys they don't like.
you think that Ward is no better than Bika Barrera and Miranda... and you think that Golovkin has faced more quality opposition than almost every other fighter in history... you toothless gimpy clown
I just never really saw the skills from him..... if he was born in a different country I don't think he would have been looked at much differently than Bika Barrera or Miranda etc.....

this thread is asking... who has the most delusional fanbase...
there are pac-tards, in this very thread... who not only insist that Manny beat Floyd... they insist that he is a better fighter

Currently ? Well currently there seems to be this delusion going on with Devin Haney fans. There's a crew that think he is the next P4P #1 Fighter on the planet. I like Haney, but I have no reason to think he will be at the pinnacle of boxing.
Either way, somebody will end up being either delusional... or highly perceptive.Comment

Most boxing fans would agree that the best don't fight the best. So when the #1 ranked MW refuses to fight the universally ranked #2 MW, and his fans applaud him for it, I just have to think these guys are either delusional or maybe they never really were boxing fans to begin with.Comment

I find boxing fans who pick guys to hate and obsess over more annoying that boxing fans who are over the top in their support of a fighter.
I think now we are also at the stage, more than ever, when it's promoters and TV stations that fans route for over individual fighters. Which is even more crazy.
The guy they hated yesterday for fighting under one banner, they will love tomorrow if he signs with a promoter they like
