you cant penalize canelo for his age and then give golovkin props for his.....at the same token golovkin was a seasoned MW while canelo was still moving into it.....

then golovkin asked for a certain fight and imo canelo whipped his rear end...it is what it is....we cant magically take a time machine and pit a 27 year old canelo vs a 27 year old golovkin....it would be neat but its not reality so we should stop trying.....canelo did things on his time...its his career arc and he doesnt need to cater to golovkin...if golovkin were a bigger star such as floyd was than maybe things would have been different....but golovkin didnt bring enough to the table for canelo to be in a hurry....stop trying to penalize canelo for doing himComment

He fought Alvarez a smaller guy who was moving up in weight who he (the monster) was supposed dispose of with no problem. Because according to GGG fans Alvarez was all hype. So that doesn’t hold that much weight. And let’s not act like GGG wasn’t targeting “older guys”. Cuz he was targeting Miguel Cotto. Cinnamon might be targeting “older guys on they’re way out” but at least he’s targeting a champion. Unlike GGG who targeting a semi retired 154 pounder in Vanes. Or how he “targeted” the 94th raked MW. And now is targeting the easiest champ in the MW division.Comment

Ive never once not clowned Golo because of that. Thought it was a bi.tch move, just as I found it a bi.tch move when Saul gave up the belts to NOT FIGHT Golo. And I find it funny that yall are screaming Saul is trying to define his legacy because he fought some guy (who shouldnt have even held the minor 'ba belt) at 168 and is now going after Kova, who is 4 wins and 3 losses in his last 7 fights. If he wanted to really define his legacy he wouldve became undisputed at '60 and fought a real belt holder at '68. Then, after doing that, he wouldnt get so much slack for fighting ol' Kova. the perception of ward, when he pursued golovkin, was that he was featherfisted....at least by his haters....it was said all the time....thats what his haters called him....
so I ran with it for the sake of argument.....golovkin wouldnt even fight featherfisted ward at 168....and thats what i was referring to when I said it....yet somehow you wanna ignore this period in time and go directly to kovalev which came later.....and even then his haters claim that kov was cheated...lol
