Nah for me, the way he fought Lomachenko was perfect. He actually had the perfect game plan to fight Lomachenko. He was executing it and he didn’t stray away from his game plan. To me, that takes a certain level of skill and discipline.
The only reason why he ended up losing, is because Loma is that good and is levels above Pedraza. But that’s not a jab at Pedraza. That’s just Loma being better.
That fight could’ve gone way worse for Pedraza, but because he fought a good fight, he was competitive for most of the fight.
So to me, that showed that he’s a solid fighter. Now, maybe that isn’t saying a whole lot. Praising a loss. But the way I see it, you can still look good losing. And you can still show your skills and show some good stuff in a loss.
