Romero Duno wore a T-shirt following his win against Ivan Delgado on Saturday that said "Ryan Garcia, Next, Stop Running." The message from the Filipino fighter was clear. He was growing tired of the endless back and forth chatter of perhaps fighting his touted Golden Boy Promotions stablemate.

Any name mfer should think twice about signing with Golden Boy with how they f#cked the 2nd biggest boxing holiday with the Canelo vs whoever fight that we didnt see this weekend & are dogging one of their biggest young name they got.

F#ck guys losing killing a promoter like mfers always act like is a thing, f#cking over fighters kills a promoter. Golden Boy gonna be looking like Don King is in another 5 years if they keep this bs up.

Hmmm. I think it's interesting where DLH says, back when he was fighting it was less about the money and more about the fight, paraphrased. I guess he's saying that he would have accepted the fight with Duno, regardless if the purse stayed the same or not. The whole thing smells fishy.
This is how promoters get a bad reputation for being liars and swindlers. It's almost as if the promoters wanted this to play out like this, so that they could get Garcia/Duno on their terms.
          - The sketchy arrest warrant scenario. - Sparrow is "captured" the day before the fight, for a crime that occurred last April ? The day before a PLANNED event. As if they were unaware of his whereabouts, all the weeks prior to the fight. I read that the promoters had worked out a deal with the authorities, to wait until after the fight, when Sparrow was to collect his purse... - something shady somewhere -
It's like they wanted to put Garcia in the worst possible position, to take the fight on lesser terms. I'm sure there were people who bought tickets for the Garcia/Sparrow bout.
I'm sorry but somebody in that mix should be ashamed...

What’s all this about blaming Garcia? It’s his career, he’s filling arenas, he’s the boss....his promoter works for him! Clearly some fake ass casual Johnny come lately “fans” posting.
Rock on Garcia, do your thing, make that money, and be in charge of your career

Yea. Golden Boy has just been very unprofessional lately.

Regardless of how good Garcia is or isnt you dont talk about your fighter being scared like Golden Boy did. Its like Oscar or Golden Boy is jealous of Garcias popularity.

And this fight wasnt a fight most cats should be taking last minute either. You dont take a late sub thats better then the guy who fell out. And either guy was likely Garcias best opponent making the decision all the more obvious to not fight.

“There’s a lot of people talking in a fighter’s ears these days. It’s very unfortunate because the ones who suffer is the fighter, ultimately … I was a fighter. Money was never an issue for me. Never. I made a lot of money, but the fight was first for me. I didn’t care. I guess fighters are not like that anymore. Something is changing. It’s kind of sad.”

                    True so very true.

BTW, Garcia claiming he is the one who puts asses in the seats. As far as I can tell he only sells out when he is in his home town. He is a good fighter but he does not have the skill and talent to be a superstar.
