hatton will get frustrated that he cant hurt Carlos and Carlos wont be able to knock ricky out.
ricky will smuther carlos and the judges will like this, and he will sc**** a draw.
not to knock ricky at his skills. its just that i am really really impressed with Carlos and his heart and skills.
on paper he beat Judah the best southpaw in the division and knocked out gatti better than mayweather did.
however hatton in his last fight had to put on 7lbs of muscles in a couple of weeks, which slowed him down. maybe in this fight he can put it on slowly and keep his speed and power?
then again CARLOS has been a welter all his career.
i don't see hatton winning this one against baldy. after that gatti fight, hatton CAN'T win, IMO. we saw that he doesn't carry his power OR any other advantage over the top guys at 147, and that was JUST collazo. baldy, man, last time i saw someone take that many flush left hooks and not blink was the pocket rocket.
hatton wouldn't be able to penetrate baldy and would hold on to either being KO'd late or lose a non-disputed decision. tata wins this one, although, if he could put on something close to the tackie fight, box a bit, in and out dashing - then yeah, but 147 seems to be too much for the hitman, sadly.
i beleive hatton would definatly sc**** a wide ud nut im also confident he could knock him out with a flurry of body shots
baldi needed range to be affective against gatti and hatton wont be there for long. i dont think baldi has got fast enough hands to keep ricky at bay therefore ricky will smother him all night long. baldi will get very frustrated leaving himself vulnerable
i see Ricky winning by UD or possibly even late tko but I wont under-estimate Baldomir and his performance against Gatti. The match would be a fantastic watch
I'd say Baldo by UD or T/KO, I think Baldomir knows how too fight the big mans fight, if you come in trying brawl or pressure him he'll just stand there & land so very precise shots, if Collazo wobbled Hatton, so could Baldomir. IMHO from what I've seen from Hatton I couldn't say that he would win, but it would be a great opportunity for Hatton to pull out that bag of tricks I've heard he's acquired over the years, cause you'll have to stay on your toes & dodge a lot of shots to beat Baldi.
I have to go with Baldy on this if it's fought at 147. Hatton showed no pop, and Baldy has an excellent chin. I should add, however, that it will be a squeaker no matter which direction it went. It would be a good toe-to-toe fight if it were to ever happen.
