OP has a point. Wilder's opposition, besides Fury, aren't that much better (if at all) than Otto Wallin. Wallin would beat the likes of Szpilka, Arreola, Duhaupas, etc. Wallin vs. Luis Ortiz would be an interesting match-up, both southpaws.

I understand the point OP makes here. Wilder`s opposition is very poor, I mean, guys like Szpilka, Duhaupas are certainly not much better than Wallin.

Wilder`s best win is Ortiz, second is probably Stiverne , third Arreola, than Breazeale. Other guys he faced are very mediocre. We can say they are Wallin level.

Wallin would beat anyone on Wilder's resume other than Fury and Ortiz.

Ortis vs Wallin would be a good fight.

That's a danger of fighting a guy who looks pretty good against C level competition but has no track record against anyone better than that. Before the fight I wasn't sure what to expect, after the fight I'm not sure what I saw.

Lol all he showed was that he could take a beating. I liked his grit, but that fight took a lot out of him.

              Lol this guy.
If not for the cut Fury would have toyed with him to get some rounds in and then gotten him out of there.
              Wilder would KO him easily.
Troll thread or prisoner of the moment. You decide.

C'mon man. Before the fight, people were calling him a bum, a tomato can, a cherry-pick. He proved a lot of people wrong, was actually a live dog. He is a solid, European-level/fringe-World level contender. He showed that he can mix it at the top of the division, made one of the big dogs really work for his victory. If he gets matched right from herein, he could be around as a Contender for a while.

He was and still is a cherry pick. Was he overly skilled no, but his heart was legit. He didn't go in there and lay down and I can respect that. He can't use that style against a power puncher he will be sleeping.

The thing is, he had power himself. He stunned Fury once or twice, and genuinely hurt him in that 12th. He is also 6ft 5.5in tall. How do you think he would get on against fringe contenders like Artur Szpilka? Carlos Takam? David Price? Charles Martin? Could make some interesting fights.

They dug up Wallin for an easy win. Boxing is the theater of the unknown and he was able to cut Fury. Even with that Fury won as expected.

Don't know why they are hyping Wallin, I guess because he fought Fury and they are trying to justify him as a worthy contender.
