last reigning super middleweight to do it? Adonis Stevenson? Andre Ward? Not as impressive lol

Curious to see how his stamina does. It decreased by 25% from Golovkin to Jacobs. If he puts on that much weight/muscle and his stamina increases, something is up. Putting on that much weight with iffy knees brings up questions too.

        Well that’s wrong...

Tiger had lost the Middleweight title to Griffith before jumping up to 175 to fight Torres.

SRL was still technically Lineal Middleweight champion when he jumped up and beat Lalonde albeit at a catchweight.

Canelo has always had to drain himself to fight like most fighters, its common sense that since hes finally reached his prime & is now fighting much bigger guys than him at weights where he no longer had to drain so much, that he would naturally finally fight like a prime fighter whos also faster than bigger guys. His stamina in 2nd ggg fight was excellent also,& it was due to no longer being unsure of himself & he said he trained for strictly speed because he knew he could withstand the most powerful puncher at mw, combined with high altitude training & years of dedication (hes never had outside problems like chavez jr & others.)

I like Canelo by stoppage in this.

It looks good on paper but Kovalev to me is damaged goods. You have to give Canelo credit for moving up and not asking for a Catchweight. But I also think Canelo's fought his last fight at Middlweight.

Brilliant fight. Canelo has big balls and I actually think he can pull this off.
