Props to Canelo for moving up and fighting at LHW.
That said, the only reason the fight might be competitive is because Kovalev is on the decline.
In other words Alvarez is taking a risk but it's a calculated one, similar to his fights at 164 and 168.
It's a lot different than Garcia moving up to fight a prime Spence.

Regardless of the weight or rehydration clause, this is a tough fight for canelo. Giving up height, reach, power, weight, and experience at the weight class... anyone who doesn’t agree is a hater. But for the non haters and the legit boxing fans, and also the canelo fan base... we have a good one! As a canelo fan, I’m legit nervous for this one, I don’t know if canelo bit off more then he can chew here... may the best man win!!!!

I'm a big canelo fan that's paid 3k to watch the 1st ggg fight, yet I can't decide who to bet on or to pick to win this fight(I usually pick nelo to win). On the 1 hand what if Kov comes into the ring in the 190s lb range(regardless of if theres IBF rules or not),& on the other hand it is entirely possible that Canelo is way too fast,& compact on defense to even catch cleanly & we end up seeing whats become a trend for nelo vs big punchers- that they leave their hands at home & are made to look amatuerish at times with wild misses when they do let their hands go.

                WOW! WHAT AN EPIC FIGHT!

This is a huge risk for CANELO , jumping up 2 weight classes to fight an established , respected & accomplished champion. It's one of the most difficult thing's to do in the sport of boxing.

CANELO is The Undisputed #1 Pound for Pound Fighter in The World , the debate is over.

Let's Go CANELO , time to train like a beast & fight like a monster!

¡Vamos CANELO , Vamos Campeon Guerrero Mexicano!

He is jumping 2 divisions. He is a tiny MW that should be fighting at 154 but can’t make the weight. He’s jumping to 175 with his build. I ain’t seen a LHW as small as Canelo since Montell Griffin.

Anybody downplaying this feat is a downright hater.
