A rehydration clause would be a bigger handicap for Kovalev than the short turn around. Coupled with the fact he got rocked in his last fight he may not have fully recovered. This is just speculation on my part. The NSAC has to look at this one closely for safety reasons. I guess if the fight is announced they must have signed off on it.

Exactly, Canelo is moving up two weight classes to fight Kovalev, I think that's too much, but at least he is doing it. Haters always going to find an excuse to not give props though.
