Even if he made 5%...that's 500k for probably 200 hours of work....that's $2500 an hour....that's brain surgeon type money.

The guy getting punched in the head should reap the rewards when they come...if he goes from making $1 million per fight to $20 million, he should be the one recouping most of that increase...those around him will still probably make more money per fight, even if the % goes down, substantially even.

A true mentor gives the pupil all the credit...to say you deserve a significantly higher cut when your guy has been taking shots to the head and body for years to finally get to that point, is just a bad look imo...sad story this one, even sadder than Abel and GGG imo.

If I were training my nephew and he finally got to that point, I would be thrilled for him that he had earned that much of an increase in pay...and I would be happy taking my usual payday and very grateful if he gave me a bump in pay at all.

This is just another sad story imo that for all the talk of Rozier saying Jacobs is like his son...in reality he just seems to appreciate Danny because of what Danny could do for him financially...sad to say but certainly seems that way.

10% IS bs when you get into these crazy numbers & your persona is selling fights as much if not more than your skills that your trainer has assisted you with.

And this aint Danny the boxer. This is Danny the Miracle Man who beat cancer. Hes being paid handsomely off of his own brand he created too % thats why this 10% when you are making multimillions no longer should hold true. Mere boxers don't make multimillions. Branded boxers with personas & value beyond the ring make multimillions. Thats a boxers own doing not a trainer.

That said when you have no signed contract in a business thats just nuts & opening yourself up to be effed.

I like a clear & consice as we can come up with aggrement with anyone Im doing business with for the sake of clarity for all parties & for the sake of talking about things pre-them being an issue if that needs to be handled as well. Id rather come to a conclusion about something in theory then when there is money or equity hanging in the balance & your or my opinions might be different then they otherwise have been.

Jacobs is a top-level fighter but won't ever beat an elite fighter. He's lucky he landed that big payday against Canelo, now he's taking it out on Rozier because he lost.

AR needs to STFU, he is clearly the source of this article. and then of course his comments the other day.

He is burning his bridge with Jacobs right now, if it's just about money, why is he making the sh/t so personal?

Mabye the standard 10% is no longer a thing, mabye the modern prize fighters don't see a point in paying a percentage to anyone but the promoter.

Same as Abel and GGG. Abel wanted 10%, GGG offered a small flat fee.

                    Sad to hear.

Guys don't even know how much a trainer can influence a guy.

I'd bet money that Mike Tyson would love to go back in time to pay Kevin Rooney whatever to stick around so that his career wouldn't have declined that way.

Just look at Vlad & Lennox, both of those guys probably end up making millions less than they do if Emmanuel Steward wasn't around.

Look at Chris Eubank Jr., who basically trains himself.

IF he had a Rozier, an Abel Sanchez, a Freddie Roach, he'd be a P4P level talent.

Rozier getting son'd by his son.

Rozier just needs to take his 3rd upcoming L against GGG like a good boy.
