Deontay Wilder, puppet or scared?

Originally posted by cupocity303Does Wilder have the EXCUSE that Fury has? Fury is not OBLIGATED to fight mandatories and contenders because he holds no official belts. The lineal thing is a farce.
And why are you moving the goal posts? Did I say i was a Fury fan?
With that said. Fury is trying to stay active. He has no LEVERAGE in negotiations therefore unlikely to get the top guys in the ring unless Top Rank/Warren/ESPN overpays them. Dillan Whyte wasn't available anyway but do you think Eddie Hearn would have fed him to Fury, when he stands to gain the WBC belt if Whyte holds on to his position?
Whyte turned down a fight for the Unified WBO/IBF/WBA belts and wanted more money. Do you think he would've taken the Fury fight (far more risky) for anything less?
Pulev? He is sitting on the IBF #1 spot. Do you think they will give that up when he stands to cash in on the Ruiz/Joshua winner by forcing the IBF mandatory defense, or collecting the vacant title.
Ortiz? Last i heard of him he turned down a fight against Joshua for the titles.
And that still doesn't mean i'm defending Fury but he is just a contender who nonetheless holds victories over Wladimir Klitschko - when he was on top, and a draw vs Wilder. All that in a span of less than 27 fights? Vs a guy who's been fighting 41 times since 2009, and ACTIVE champion since 2015.
Fury's resume looks thin because he RETIRED after 2015, while Wilder was ACTIVE from 2015 and his resume is still razor thin.
Like I said, outside of the two times that Fury got caught by Wilder- I thought Fury dominated him pretty handily and should have gotten the nod despite the two knockdowns.Comment

It seems like Wilder is following the Adonis Stevenson/WBC model. Where he secluded himself from the 175 division while the action was going on. Kovalev unifies belts against B-Hop, has two fights against Ward, and Adonis ends getting Ko'd into a coma after years of low profile title defenses.
Well to his credit, he did apparently agree to fight Fury.
Wilder is a coward who calls others cowards, always needs reassurance he has an advantage. He did the same thing with Ortiz ,finding out the guy was 48 and quickly picked up his pen to sign that one too after telling him he would never fight him . lolComment

Absolutely he is both. I don't think he is scared in the truest sense but he knows or believes that his undefeated record is his ticket and preserving it means skipping over Top 10 guys year after year after year.
The video pretty much covered it. He was a contender since 2014 pretty much. Someone should pile up all the Top 10 rankings from 2014 all the way to 2019, and see who he DID NOT face during those years.
Off the top of my head i can already list a few that are or were contenders during those years that others fought but he didn't:
Wlad - was the champion
Vitali - Was the WBC Champion. He wasn't so eager to fight for the WBC title then.
Pulev - was a contender then, and is STILL a contender now
Povetkin - we know what happened there. Alexander ***ed up but Wilder wasn't exactly eager to face him, the way he was with Louis Ortiz who also tested positive but he saw something that he could exploit. That fight never got negotiated but was mandated through a purse bid, and Povetkin's promoter outbid Wilder's promoter and that's why he was forced to go to Russia kicking and screaming. Did he ever attempt to make a VOLUNTARY defense against him since then?
Tony Thompson - always a durable guy. Gave Wlad a good fight and ended up exposing undefeated David Price whose handlers did make a mistake in trying to build him up by feeding him a past-prime gatekeeper.
And if we go by the current slew of fighter since the start of when Joshua picked up his first belt, Joshua consistently fought Top 10 guys who are OBJECTIVELY ranked in all of the organizations as well as Ring Magazine. Those would include:
Dillan Whyte - who is still sitting on his WBC mandatory shot and I hope he never fights the Joshua/Ruiz winner and cashes in on that mandate
Joseph Parker - Now why does Joshua have to fight a undefeated WBO Title holder and unify, when Wilder could've done it? I've never seen an article that this fight was ever being negotiated.
Andy Ruiz Jr - was a contender since 2016, hence why Parker made a title defense against him. And a stable mate of Wilder. Why not fight a guy with only one loss?
That's seven guys missing off of a 41 fight career that started in 2008, when President ***** got elected fight Christ sake.

I don`t believe he is scared, he was also ready to fight Povetkin in Moscow.
He is just a terrible boxer with huge right hand. A beautiful KO artist who is there to get stopped. It happens to all Ko artists.Comment

Deontay Wilder would have broken his fucking foot off in both AJ's, Wladimir's and Tyson Fury's ass man! He is the man and the King of the heavyweight division bar none.
Nobody is scared of shit! This YouTuber is fucking moron who don't know shit about boxing.
Fighters pay these advisors and ancillaries because they trust them to help guide their careers and would be a damn fool not to take their advice. If they won't listen to these men then why the Hell do they have them in their camps and paying them?Comment
