Showtime's bought Matchroom cards before. Just regular business.
Sky are beginning to purchase non-matchroom content.

Yeah I’m not saying it’s happening immediately, as I said “slowly transitioning”. And I agree the Matchroom USA/ DAZN venture has left Sky’s domestic content very depleted.
The Matchroom deal expires in 2025 I think, by that point I expect Sky to have far less eggs in the matchroom basket.Comment

I think the American content has always been seperate right?
It's just the UK stuff that's exclusive to Matchroom.
The WBSS card they're showing is a co promotion with Matchroom.Comment

Yeah international cards are separate. Probably shouldn’t have listed Spence-Porter tbf, it was just because they apparently overpaid to outbid ITV.Comment

SKY also aired Wilder/Breazeale right? Spence has a name in the UK after his fight vs Brook so they probably just wanted to just get this fight that wouldn't have been THAT expensive.
I bet SKY also picks up Wilder/Ortiz in November.Comment

Would be interesting though because at the very least Adam Smith seems unhappy with Matchroom.
All down to how Barney Francis though isn't it. He seems real buddy buddy with Hearn.Comment

I don’t know the figures of course, but they would’ve had to outbid ITV, but it wouldn’t have been a kings ransom by any means.
Sky always pick up Wilders fights, he’s a recognisable name over here and there’s still the potential of a huge fight with AJ sometime in the future.Comment
