If you knew your guy was concussed as you claim why let him continue to take headshots? Your fighter safety should be first thing that crosses your mind, if you concussed it don’t go away after 3 mins lol dude sounds dumb

If I were him I would've stopped the fight after the 3rd knockdown since he was clearly concussed, no need to keep him in there if he's already behind by like 8 points in the 7th round. It made him look like a quitter when he couldn't continue where in fact he didn't know where he was and was fighting on instinct since the 3rd.Comment

You pose a good question. However there is a lot of money to be made with the rematch so I bet they are willing to sacrifice AJ since it is his health and not theirs'.Comment

This is gonna become more & more a concern people have.
And its a legit question for boxers, for trainers, for commissions, for refs & for fans.
Should a fight continue once a fighter is deemed to likely have been concussed?
I think everyone realizes its a problem to continue in a sport as dangerous as boxing once you are concussed, but how much is the sport altered by stopping fights upon a concussion happening?
I think at some point you gotta have it so SOMEONE is stopping a fight at that point of damage for the immediate & long term health of the boxer.Last edited by OldTerry; 09-12-2019, 01:06 PM.Comment

yes he was, he got his azz whooped badly, maybe he will move his head in next fight and jab more with the dropped weightComment

I think the rules of boxing could be changed various ways to diminish the likelihood of immediate or long term damage to boxers. One example could be a shorter count when you are dropped or take a knee. Giving people recovery time often over the amount most feel they should get based upon the current rules just puts boxers at greater risk.Comment

AJ fights should called off immediately and ruled a "no contest" the second AJ takes a decent shot in the head.
Meanwhile in the UK, other fighters like Parker gets knocked down, and concussed by illegal head butts and the ref rules it as a punch, legal KD, and makes him fight another 10 rounds against twice convicted PEDs cheat .
Can you imagine the backlash if AJ was dropped and concussed by a head butt like Parker?Comment

Pretty sure Oilskin's team said Joe was concussed from the Dillian Whyte headbutt that got ruled as an early knockdown which then cost Parker the fight.
I'm also reminded of AJ running away and looking to the ref to stop Parker from concussing Joshua in their fight and reverting to pulling tape of his glove for extra recovery time.
Fact is, the giant glass jawed robot needs the refs help to recover from a hard shot to the dome...ruiz doesnt, wilder doesnt, fury doesnt, parker doesn't.
And that is why Parker beat Ruiz but lost to AJ and Whyte and ...why wilder and fury would both beat AJ but struggle against Parker or Ruiz.
Parker charged AJ once in the whole fight with AJ moving off the back foot. That isn't running away. Parker moving off the back foot all night and refusing to engage? That's what is called running away in boxing.
You think because a fighter gets a concussion in one fight, he gets one in every fight? That's like saying a fighter who gets knocked out once will get knocked out in every fight. But do you keep the same energy with Parker running away like he does? Will he do that every time? You're a joke like that other weirdo JKP who can't accept a defeat so reveal yourself to be an insecure and bitter idiot who's emotionally immature and vulnerable so you attack like a child without sense.
The tape was already loose you fool. The ref was going to send him to the corner anyway. All AJ did was go without the ref calling for it. Why, do you think the fight should have continued with the glove like that? Don't be so pathetic. Don't watch sport if you can't handle your side losing. Trying to make out Parker would have won if not for the tape coming loose is outlandish and laughable.
When did AJ need help from the ref after taking a shot to the head? Again, you're just making things up because you can't accept losing. You're the one who is acting like you've taken a shot to the head you can't recover from. No one is this pathetic otherwise.
Fury and Wilder didn't believe for one second they could beat AJ. They would have taken the 40% and by far their biggest payday if they did. Instead, they ran like cowards and fought complete bums instead. Yet you believe they would beat AJ? Not even they do.
Fury dominates both Parker and Ruiz. Wilder struggles with both though on account of him struggling against complete bums like his career is filled with. Against good fighters, that struggle becomes even more problematic.
Advice: Don't watch the Chisora fight with Parker. You're not going to like the result. It will just make you cry and stamp your feet like a b1tch. You've been warned. We've been here before so you should know by now. Then you can hate Chisora too and continue to show us what a joke you are.Comment
