Comments Thread For: Fury Explains Why Joshua is Making Mistake in Slimming Down

Tyson Fury believes former champion Anthony Joshua is making a big mistake in slimming down from his usual muscular form. Joshua suffered his first career defeat back in June, when he was dropped four times and stopped in the seventh round by Andy Ruiz at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

So true. Joshua's doomed. Either way.

This cokehead is an idiot. AJ was very nimble and fast when he wasn’t that big. He only started putting on that ridiculous body mass before the Wlad fight and subsequently against Takam because he thought he was fighting Pulev.

AJ at 237-242 is the best AJ as evident against Parker and Kevin Johnson. Ruiz doesn’t move his feet and you can’t beat him standing in front of him and exchanging because he has quick short hands.

I want to see AJ vs Fury next so Josh can shut this kangaroo and his homeless gypsy fans up. It’s gonna be a *******. Hopefully, I’d get the chance to crack the jaws of some of these Fury fans after the fight, lol.

First bit of sense I've read from Fury in a while!

Fury is 100% right. He can lose some weight but he needs to be in the mid to high 230s. He needs to box like Wlad did. Long, stiff jab followed by the straight right. Grab when he gets close and jump away when he charges in. I think he also got winded trying to finish ruiz off when he was not that hurt.

Tyson could be right here , I am thinking the weight loss might diminish his punch resistance level .They have to do it properly and he shouldn't lose too much weight.

Joshua is making a big mistake

I've pumped iron for forty years. Fury is correct. If Joshua loses a lot of weight, much of that will be muscle, which is what generates Joshua's own speed, power, and stamina. If Joshua slims down a few pounds it's not necessarily a big deal. Anything more is absolutely foolish because he will lose speed, stamina and power.
