I don't really understand the premise.

I'm a Canelo fan in that his fights are interesting to me and not a big 3G fan because his fights were kinda ****ty.

Money, Cotto, Khan, JCC2, etc. Them ****s, even the easy fights, were interesting. Could not be missed.

3G's **** I'd catch later. It's okay, but, also **** Wade.

I'd say being undisputed is always a way to bring interest.

You all claim GGG needs a belt to fight Canelo but why?

Canelo claimed he wanted to unify 160 but has since given up 2 of his belts. One in which he gave his consent to become a "franchise champ" and the other because he didnt want to fight his mandatory.

Belts dont matter to Canelo anymore so why is it important that GGG win one?

Canelo offered Deverenchenko the same amount of money Triple g offered him but Deverenchenko went with who he thought he had a better chance of beating which was Triple g...
So IDK why fool's like you keep saying Canelo didn't wanna fight him when Canelo offered him the fight and a career high payday put Deverenchenko went with the weakest link which is Triple g.

Your probably right. Let's see how that works out for him. Derevyanchenko is a difficult guy to negotiate with. Looks like he played Canelo to up his slice of the pie with Golovkin. For some reason GB would not go to a purse bid rather than letting the fight slip though their fingers. It was an odd negotiation.

I made this thread already except the 2nd to last point. But it really raises a great question when you look at it in hindsight. This **** all goes back to what I been saying: Demetrius Andrade is the most avoided fighter in boxing.

These are the reasons I can think of as to why Canelo would tell GGG to get a belt:

▪Because he feels GGG is avoiding Andrade
▪Because he understands the risk of fighting either or; Maybe he thinks Andrade would beat GGG & doesn't want to face GGG again & have to fight Andrade as well.
▪I think he could've possibly wanted Andrade to "increase his profile", he may never fight him if Andrade doesn't face & beat another respected name 1st.
▪He just wants to throw his A-side diva tactics around just cause he can.

But it's all weird cause he ended up fighting neither.

This guy's actions leave a lot of questions.

Canelo fights the best fighters. Not true. Khan, Mosley, Fielding, Kirkland. Weight restrictions up the Wazoo. Then dropping his title to avoid Golovkin. Not refusing to fight him again. Every fighter takes on lesser opponents. It's unrealistic to have him fight the very best every time out but don't pretend he's an exception.
