He seemed all over the place after that fight. He seemed more into fighting Wilder post-Andy to me.

I tend to think AJ gots a life he never dreamed of already & this getting hit in the head sh^t has no place in that world. The money he can still make is still too sexy to retire doe. But his heart hasnt seemed fully into boxing since that crazy fight with Klitschko.

Randomly was cool hearing AJ talking about his relationship with Klitschko these days. That champions club VIP relationships is cool sh^t. And thats why I keep low key hoping Floyd & Oscar become friends at some point. They had a existence few cats had in boxing history. I bet they'd relate to each othet well if they could just not flip out on the other guy.

Yeh he was concussed for sure and talking jibberish but what about the next day and that week after when he said he wants a rematch ... just calling out blatant bullshiz

Was never a big Klitschko fan when he was fighting but looking back the guy was a class act . Never spoke mad s**t for attention just battered all comers for ten years pretty much .

Klitschko doesn’t have the crazy ego like ODH , Mayweather . Those guys are equally as petty and stubborn . Maybe when they are old timers they can be friends ha

Ruiz says this and people post "yeah I think he's right".

Joshua announced straight after the fight that he wanted the rematch. The statement has never wavered. They even started court proceedings to make sure it happened.

Yet you want to believe that Ruiz, who made lots of noises about not fulfilling the rematch is the one who REALLY wants to be there.

What are people basing their opinions on if it's not indisputable facts?

You were talking after the fight so I was too.

Idk that the rematch is anything more than a business move. If Joshua turned down the rematch its pretty likely he wouldnt get a title fight for a year. I think anytime you get KTFO its not a great idea to take a rematch in quick order. So bold businesss move that likely was a hands tied decision anyway.

Yea same. It was a long but uneventful reign, but thats how he fought. And I had massive respect for him for that AJ fight. Came so close to winning, but it was maybe his most fan friendly fight of his career & a great fight to exit on.

Yea Im rooting for that. I imagine them both being promoters now isnt gonna sped up the process either since they are still competitors just in another field.

And all it is, is that you guys want to project whatever you want onto this guy. Nobody sits there and says "I think Mayweather is thinking this or that' do they? No. Because all you have to do is ask him and you'll know. Same with AJ. He didn't want the rematch right away...really? Is that why he signed for it right away? That's like you idiots saying he's ducking Wilder, yet it's AJ and Hearn offering Wilder 120 million to fight him hahahahahha. God I cannot wait until the 8th of December when this ***** is over with and we can go back to Wilder and Fury making up excuses as to why they can't fight AJ for a career high pay day
They had a contract to be able to rematch Ruiz and pay him very little considering he just knocked out the champ. They weren’t going to risk Ruiz fighting anyone else and potentially lose or void the rematch clause. Then they’d have to pay through the nose to try and get the belts back. Could have taken forever even. Good for AJ, but don’t pretend the driving factor in this rematch is anything less than financial. If Hearn could have AJ fight a scrub first to get his confidence back and it wouldn’t mess anything up they totally would. Nobody is ducking anyone for 120million either.

But he could absolutely fight scrubs for tens of millions. He could absolutely get away with that while claiming Ruiz landed a lucky punch.

And the next title fight would get bigger and bigger with a couple of comeback wins under his belt.

Financially, the riskiest move is Ruiz. Back to back losses and he's in a different position.

That tells me he wants the belts and believes he can win them back.

Last time they were in the ring together AJ literally quit rather than continue fighting Ruiz....

That's pretty telling about who wants to fight and evo doesn't

WBO, WBA, IBF, IBO heavyweight champion Andy Ruiz is not convinced that Anthony Joshua was fully on board with taking a direct rematch. Joshua suffered his first career defeat back in June, when Ruiz dropped him four times to secure a seventh round stoppage at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

... I don't think so: AJ had no choice, tbh... it was about "perpetual irrelevance" vs "immediate redemption"...
