    Are you on drugs, boy?
None of those guys were shot when Porter faced them. The oldest any of them were was 33. That was Paulie and Berto, who peaked late as it were. Alexander was 26 when Porter faced him ffs. You're so damn ******.

Porter has a record of 5-2 against Current/Former/Future Welterweight champions.

Alexander and Garcia are both legit wins regardless of how people want to spin it.

I would argue that whilst not great wins, convincingly defeating Berto, Broner and Paulie are all credible wins also.

I'm ****** and you're defending old Paulie Malignaggi, old Andre Berto, and Devon Alexander as "good" welterweight wins.

Yeah, I think the rest of the commenters can realize whose ******

To be fair hes got one of the best resumes in the division. His only losses were real close decisions.

Porter deserves every big fight he gets. The guy has fought everyone in the division except Crawford after Sept 28th.

He may not be the best but he's been competitive in every fight he's had against top level guys.

Only champ that needs full scrutiny and questions is jermall charlo. Got slapped about big time by korobov only to get gifted the win in a massive robbery and then then out of the blue he is just given a world title without even having to fight for it.

Infact its not Charlo that's the problem there its the dodgy as hell WBC. There has never been a good excuse for when they gave tank a title after another fighter won it in a different fight

Good post. People like to throw out names but the real followers of the sport know the circumstances behind the fights.

He is only World Champion because Thurman got injured and was out for 2 Years honestly. So he gave up that Belt allowing Porter and Garcia fight for it

No disrespect to Porter, he is a tough durable guy and he is very scrappy but people seem to just hate this man for whatever reason

Yes, I thought Ugas beat him as well BUT it was a close fight, all of his fights are CLOSE

He fought a prime Brook, a prime Thurman and now a prime Spence. Yes they may be losses (assuming with Spence too) but at least the man took the kind of risks no other champions this generation have done. Should he fight Crawford later on, that would be something to admire cause he would have fought all top welterweights in their peaks in his time period.
