Shit! Why in the Hell does the media puts so much pressure on athletes to become politicians as if they are the one's responsible for every damn thing that ails society? Anthony Joshua is no damn politician; He is a boxer. His calling is to not cure the world of all its ills. His calling is to provide entertainment through sport.
Isn't this ultimately on Joshua & Eddie. Isn't part of the agreement that Joshua help make SA look good. Isn't this why he's publicly inviting Jay Z & Beyonce. Thats extra sh^t that one wouldn't normally be doing I'm assuming.
This is not a surprise. Saudi are throwing money at people trying to make it a destination like Las Vegas. A high profile destination that makes a lot of money. It's also likely a smokescreen to distract from the insanity that goes on. For example Khan did not get paid that much to go box in Saudi as he is Khan. He got it as he is ****** and the original bill was to be a blowout over a minority for reasons that are nothing to do with Khan or boxing. It would be hilarious if the Saudis try to do what they tried to do with the WBSS final with this fight. As for people wondering why there is more uproar now than previously - Anthony Joshua is basically an ambassador for the UK. He has been built up and had money pumped in to him and marketing and very specific appeals etc t o place him as an attraction. AJ is not a person in the eyes of the UK. So yeah there will be more motive for him to be distant from things like this. It really does reek of cashout, as AJ doesn't have the speaking skills to spin this positively for himself so it's just terminating his brand which is bizarre as while Hearn may wanna cash out, the Brits have invested to much to let him just fade from existence.

I agree and I get all that. However, he is only coming to that country to provide entertainment and nothing else.
He is not coming there to use his platform as some kind of political soap box in order to help push a particular agenda or address certain societal issues in another country. That is not his job.
I am not saying what he is doing is right because many athletes in the past and currently are using their high profiles as political soap boxes, in order to effect social change and address some of the social issues like racial injustice that is plaguing our society.
It's alright for athletes to criticize other countries for their human rights violations. However, once those same athletes turn those protests inwardly and start criticizing the misuse, abuse and mistreatment of racial ********** in their own country then the media and the press has a real problem with that.
It's the hypocrisy of it all that I have a problem with. These very same athletes are often, rejected, persecuted and ostracized from the rest of society, once they take a stand against the societal wrongs and injustices that continue to plague our country.
I'm not the one who's more occupied with what the next man is doing than your own life.
I just told you to shut the fu..ck up and mind your business. America is no different from Saudi Arabia in terms of human rights issues. The same shi..tt, different toilets. If I were you, I'd be more worried about the police gunning down your brothers on the streets of America than a boxer earning 9 figures.
Why do Americans hate British boxing fans so much? No 30

Americans have a hate list for every other country in the world it seems, hate Mexico, hate Canada, hate the UK,hate all of Europe, especially the Eastern side of it, hate the middle East countries, hate Asian countries too. And judging by your presidents decisions you hate the North and South poles too.
Why can't they go to the fight? They won't know what they are. Can't they stop ****ing each other for a couple of days?
Exactly if you're really want to enjoy a boxing match, you can go, you don't have to scream out loud you're ***** and sure as H** nobody is gonna force you to admit it. I think is mostly the snowflake media and their ****** agenda.
