Comments Thread For: Wilder: Joshua Doesn't Have Confidence To Win Ruiz Rematch

Yes, I know it was a draw (officially) but the whole damn world saw it as a 60% Fury making Wilder look like a clown for 95% of the fight.
How can a World HW Champ knock someone down, so heavily, but then still lose the round!? That’s embarrassing.
Wilder has gained credibility from fighting Fury and now riding around on his Hugh horse talking about Joshua because AJ lost. Same old Wilder, piggy backing off of others.
And AJ is going to bet mauled in the second fight. It's over for him.Comment

I will be surprised if AJ has the balls to get into the ring with Ruiz again, given he was last seen cowering and quitting in the corner.
It will take a lot of false confidence for him to get there, but AJ has the "yes men", and delusional supporters to get the required false confidence.
That false confidence will quickly evaporate once bell rings and reality sinks in.Comment

DAZN offered $120 million for the rights to Wilder. Fight with AJ was not guaranteed or even part of that offer, AJ fight couldnt be guaranteed due to his rematch clauses with Ruis/Miller. But AJ would never lose to Ruiz/miller right?.... ??? lolComment

I'm comparing Wilder being promoted by the PBC vs Wilder being promoted by a.n.other promoter be it Hearn, T.R or GBP.
And part of good promotion is making those fights and guiding your boxer's career.
But now you mentioned GGG ... he was already a star before he even fought Jacobs. He was legitimately hyped or falsely hyped, depending on your point of view, to be this monster with a 18 fight KO streak. And it wasn't him doing the talking 'cos he can barely string together a meaningful sentence in English. It was a combination of Loeffler, HBO and Sanchez doing a brilliant promotional job.
PBC don't do that for Wilder which is why, all things being equal, he's not a big a star as he ought to be.Comment
