I definitely agree. I thought 175 was **** at the time while 168 had some good potential match-ups for him but he only stayed there for a minute. Sucks, because we would have gotten some much better fights for him, which also makes you wonder why he jumped up so quickly. Maybe he didn't want those fights...Comment

He wanted Tyson. Same business as Spence/Mikey. You got two 'eye test' fighters in different weight classes and certain fans just want to see them fight when it didn't make sense. Because that all happened after Tyson was on the decline.I definitely agree. Personally, I ALWAYS wanted to see Jones against Collins, Jackson, Watson, and Eubank. Especially Watson in 1990-ish, Jackson around 1991, Collins in around 1992, Eubank in 1994-ish (Eubank in 1994 definitely would have lost to Roy Jones) . To me that would have been enough of a test to raise his profile without being overkill, because of that list, I don't see any of those guys beating that version of Jones. You add McCallum who he beat later, and you have hands down one of the best resumes of MW/SMW of all time.
I'm not dismissing Jones' light heavy run, but I think he wasted his 168 at a time it was rich in named guys he would have beaten easily.Comment
