What do you mean early in his career, this happended like five or six months ago maybe less. He is just another flash in the pan, that will get serioously hurt when he steps up. And dont tell me that dumbstante was a step upComment

I wouldn't say it was a "****y shot". Remember how many times Tito has been down, and by who. Tito has been knocked down by many fighters, some of them not the best of fighters. I think he has been down like 12 times in his career.Originally posted by ElbichograndeDude he went down with a ****ty shot. If you saw the fight it was more of a slap than an actual Lacy left hook
Getting knocked down means very little if you come back in impressive fashion to KO or TKO your opponent.Comment

Macho, do not even put Tito in the same text as Green. Tito was floored by heavy hitters, not no pushovers. And tito unlike (doesn't deserve to be mentioned, ended all of their careers. Name one guy who couldn't hit that floored Tito. All of them had a good if not great ko recordComment

i think lacy could beat green, and i think it would b a smart fight...but not now.
lacy is coming off a loss and the last thing he needs is a big fight with pressure. Jeff should handpick one or two opponents and get his confidence back, then get back to earning his respect from the nay-sayersComment

Why is Green considered a threat to Lacy, he sucks. He only has pop thats it. He has no boxing ability, obviously his chin is made out of porceline and he really hasn't faced ok opposition.Comment

good point..Originally posted by boxingguy1226Protected his whole career? When Lacy was 21-0 he was already on his fifth title defense. Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.
also, if things had gone just a little worse with Donnie McCrary for Green, he'd be in the exact same position, except it wouldn't even have been a loss to a guy with recognition like Calzaghe.. I've been impressed with both fighters and i hope this fight eventually surfaces
btw, if Green actually takes the fight with Calzaghe now, i'll be a monkey's uncle
