Wilder`s resume is full of euro level guys (Duhaupas, Szpilka), old washed up guys ( Stiverne 2x, Ortiz 2x). He fought Fury only because he thought Fury was done. Fury looked bad against Pianeta and Seferi and Wilder thought it was just an easy target to get a well known name on resume. Now he fights Ortiz again instead of Kownacki for example.

I wouldn't call it a DUCK as Wilder had his path for the next 2 fights (if not 3 with AJ) set out. So there is no real reason, unless if Ruiz was to constantly call out and chase Wilder, but Ruiz ain't doing that either as he has his path already set out for the next 1 fight.

So definitely not a duck.
