Thing is that Valuev would be one of the top heavyweights if he was here today and he was still one of the top heavyweights back then.

ATG? of course not but like in the top 5 in the division he was.

Say what you want but I was impressed that a 7' 330lb guy could go 12 rounds with ease and didnt have any stamina problems. He threw arm punches like Fury does, which conserves energy and at that size arm punches still have some thud.
You're lying to yourself. I respectfully disagree that Valuev was anything but a bum! Who did he beat, what performances are you getting this from????

Usyk has the skill set of Chris Bird but hits harder with a wider variety of weapons. Usyk has the potential to make the current crop of Heavyweights look bad and he doesn't bring the Joshua pay days which mean Wilder, Fury and Ortiz will undoubtedly avoided Usyk until he slows down.

If Andy loses to Joshua he might take that fight because Wilder, Fury and Ortiz will undoubtedly avoided Andy for the same reason they'll avoid Usyk.

I would argue it all depends upon who is willing to actually get in the ring with Usyk. I say not too many, most will tell us why they don't need to fight Usyk.

I know plenty of people will disagree, but I think Usyk beats all of them bar Fury whose size and skill level will just be too much.

Joshua always has problems with smaller guys who are remotely skilled.

Ruiz would be a close fight, would pick Usyk over a tight 12 round decision.

Wilder is always able to poleaxe anyone - but I feel Usyk’s movement and footwork would enable him to stay out of the way, whilst landing plenty back.

Just my opinion - might change it completely if he struggles against Spong 😂

Valuev had a belt, its how Haye got his. You are denying that Valuev was in or around top 5 heavyweight at the time?

You didnt watch boxing back then.

And valuev would be in the mix if he was around today.

You realize valuev was 330lbs but had better stamina than AJ and a lower body fat percentage than Ruiz.

                  Depends on Usyk’s chin

Half of heavyweight boxing is about the chin. With 16 fights at CW we don’t know. Boxing skills from CA division does not a heavyweight make.
Forget the top four. Can Usyk take punches from Daniel Dubois, Efe Ajagba, Luis Ortiz...etc.
Any of these boxers have a word to say:
Dillian Whyte, Alexander Povetkin, Kubrat Pulev, Luis Ortiz, Adam Kownacki, Joe Joyce, Joseph Parker, Oscar Rivas, Dereck Chisora, Daniel Dubois, Efe Ajagba, Filip Hrgovic, Dominic Breazeale, Otto Wallin, Sergey Kuzmin, David Price.
Usyk is fighting Tyrone Spong, the #50!

                    Otto Wallin 😂

Did you see Usyk fight in the WSB? Took decent punches from Joyce and a few other big guys, managed to beat all of them.

I’m not saying they’re elite level punchers like Joshua or Wilder, but I think his chin will stand up.

The other consideration is whether any of the big guys will get in position to land consistently big shots, given Usyk’s superior movement and footwork. I don’t think Joshua for example would cut off the ring against Usyk well.

I agree Valuev would be one of top guys today. Guy is huge, he never had any stamina problems, limited, but very strong, impossible to be stopped.

                      Shame he never fought Klitschkos.
