I wish we could all just accept that they’re two great fighters who have done so many great things. But since we can’t, I’ll point out what a POS Canelo is to make sure everything is fair and balanced.

DAZN is demanding this date, Canelo probably wants to fight sooner rather than later. Take it or leave it Kovalev, you're the B side, you don't have any say in the matter. Kovalev himself chose not to take the fight in September, the money was there to tempt Yarde to step aside.

Rumors are swirling there won't be a catchweight, but there will be a rehydration clause. 10lbs is not unreasonable. Does anyone know what the fight night weight for Kovalev has been in his past few fights?

Okay it’s just weird that literally every canelo hate thread is coming from you. How can you say Canelo is Great fighter that’s done great things but then say he’s a chicken **** and he’s a POS. Makes zero sense.

If Kovalev doesn't want the fight in December, he could just say no. Or, he could say yes, fight his ass off and take that $10 million, win lose or draw.

a short turn-around may not be ideal... but it is no big drama

certainly not as big a deal as a catchweight would be

they can easily tailor the camp to suit

if the fight happens at 175, Kovalev has every advantage

its not like Canelo spent YEARS promising to fight Kovalev at 168, but when shlt got real he suddenly demanded 164... or anything

Because Ruiz/Joshua is on Dec. 7... They need Canelo to fight during a different billing cycle, so it's either Nov. 2 or after January 11.

Canelo Alvarez’s last fight was in May. He’s known he was going to fight Sergey Kovalev next since late July.

Kovalev’s last fight was August 24.

So of course the fight date is the first weekend in November. That means if Kovalev started preparing for Canelo today he barely has eight weeks.

Canelo will have been preparing for Kovalev for 12 weeks by the time the fight happens.

Canelo is such a chicken *****
