Comments Thread For: Ruiz-Joshua: No Clause In Contracts For A Third Fight

NEW YORK Andy Ruiz Jr.'s team made many demands before moving forward with his second showdown with Anthony Joshua. Adding a clause to his contract that would've guaranteed him a rubber match in the event he loses their heavyweight championship rematch wasn't among them. Ruiz told BoxingScene.com on Thursday that he didn't demand the type of contractual clause that ensured Joshua an immediate rematch with him because he is certain he'll beat Joshua again December 7 in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

Joshua could fight Ruiz again after he wins. No need to a third fight here,he has mandos like Pulev and Usyk waiting. Ruiz will most likely lose to other guys by then and stay around a top 10 spot somewhere .Odds on a third fight is very slim. the division is way to stacked and if Wilder loses to fury we will seea shortening career for Wilder should he fail to get a win ,hes done ,fury may just abandon the belt and fight Joshua . lol.

To be honest I'm not too sure about that narrative, he was already signed up for the rematch via the first contract and realistically if they could have inserted a rematch clause why wouldn't they?

Its completely in your favour, you don't have to trigger it if you lose and if you win it never comes into play anyway.

Joshua was pretty sure he was going to win the first one, but I'm also sure they are glad they had a rematch clause. I doubt any HW title voluntaries happen without some rematch clause, why would they?

Three fights in a row is practically unheard of . Ruiz was given the opportunity he isn't entitled to a third fight if he loses . Team Joshua wants to move on theres to many fights needed with to many belts .

😂Yeah it’s all BS. There was never a third fight. That’s unheard of, in any capacity under a rematch clause. Not sure why they are trying to play all these “A-side” Ruiz BS. The rematch clause is a standard one, you win the first fight and the champ gets his rematch.

That rematch is now here, after all the “He isn’t fighting in SA” it’s fake news, the real news is coming soon... Blah Blah Blah. Now we have this nonstory 😂

A side Andy fooling his devoted fake fans now. Ha

Will be interesting to see the new found Ruiz fan base disappear after the 7th as he and Joshua become bums again on here . After Fury defeats Wilder only Fury fans will surface in 2020 all other fighters will be bums on here ,the hate for AJ is real .Ha

The only time I recall 3 in a row was the John Ruiz / Holyfield trilogy...

I wanna see who wants it more. Has the wealth and fame gotten to Ruiz' head? Has he gotten comfortable? The same can be asked of Joshua. Was he comfortable after he made over $80 million? Does he still want it? I'm hyped for this bout. It's also gonna provide us with answers to these questions.
