Him being ready to fight him and him being able to beat him are 2 separate things, IMO.
If he's not "ready" for a fight like this at this point in his career, then he never will be. Dude has been coddled for long enough.
Personally, I don't think he's as good a fighter as Loma and won't beat him unless he waits for Loma to decline. I think Davis and his management feel the same way, as seen by their actions.
