if Lomachenko unifies al four belts, he will be in select company

in our modern recent times, these were the last 3 fighters to become undisputed at lightweight.

    February 12, 1971 - June 25, 1971 ;Ken Buchanan

    January 21, 1978 - January 1979; Roberto Duran

    August 11, 1990 - January 18, 1992; Pernell Whitaker

It will go down in history, not a bad place to put your name next to,
That's why i was so opposed to the Mikey Garcia Errol Spence fight and disappointed in him.
But props to Lomachenko if he can do it, especially being way small for the division

Don't worry, he'll still get the Top Rank hater treatment the same way Crawford did when he was undisputed at 140. The PBC mouth-breathers will criticize everyone he beat to get the title. Claim he fought no one. Granted, Crawford didn't beat a murderers row of opponents to get there, but he still hung around long enough to clean out the division.

Wow, I didn't realize Whitaker had done it. Yes, Loma joins a very short list. He can definitely do it. It would be another big accolade for him. The list of accomplishments just keeps growing...

I think the LDBC stayed quiet about Crawford’s 140 unification. I’ve seen it used as a reference as to why he’s clearly p4p because “nobody is undisputed”. Let’s see if those rules still apply. They barely acknowledged Usyk against a stronger pool of opponents (than what either Loma or Crawford fought in their undisputed divisions). Lomachenko’s opponents at 135 (especially if its Lopez because Lopez is held as somewhat of a deity) were stronger than Crawford’s at 140.

They are all great achievements but reasons beyond boxing prevents people acknowledging it. Sometimes due to race, sometimes due to a promoter, sometimes both. It’s not boxing related though.

If Crawford was a PBC fighter, we would never hear the end of his undisputed accomplishment at 140. They would be calling him the GOAT, second only to Floyd.

Yeah, it's funny Crawford is sort of the "enemy" or whatever but imagine if he was a PBC guy and Spence was with Top Rank talking about "other side of the street" imagine the pedestal Crawford would be on and Spence would be ridiculed more than Lomachenko is.

Imagine if Charlo, or Davis were white guys from EE on Top Rank's banner fighting so infrequently against such trash opposition? Mind blown.

So is every white nationalist and racist on nsb going to lie about the credit non white posters give Usyk and Loma.

Why is this tolerated? Why are these posters allowed to push a narrative that every poster and moderator reading this thread knows isn’t factual?

Can one of the moderators please explain to these posters that criticism of white fighters is allowed on the forum and when it’s done it isn’t an affront to the sport.

Unless there is a new rule that I am not aware of. If so, how can we change that rule.

                  Race shouldn’t be a factor

But if you’re talking just about skin colour then the best in the world is a white lad Tyson Fury

I think the only thing really holding him back is not the competition but the matchmaking. It LOOKS like it's going to happen. But, until the fights actually happen I'm skeptical. Funny stuff happens in this sport.
