I'm a big fan of Hurd. I would hope it's because he realizes he needs to get more comfortable with adjustments and new trainer as opposed to the 90 day VADA testing. I thought it was foolhardy to run it back immediately when it was obvious he needed a new trainer and to adjust his technique/approach. Who knows. With all of the positive results recently you can never assume anyone is truly clean. Oh well.
Well that’s how Hurd HOPES you look at it. But fact it’s Hurd is shook and isn’t confident enough in a rematch without the PEDs.
Hurd is done. Serve him up, he’s a gatekeeper now.
Lara should take this fight in December. Williams vs Lara is a really good fight to be honest. Lara is at that age that he has to stand and trade more and Jrock is coming from a huge win.
It could be seen as a brave choice by Hurd. Thats his chance to get all his belts back and he is going to not take it. Maybe he feels 1 training camp is not going to be enough to iron out the problems that J Rock was giving him so rather than just lose again just take a step back and work on a few things. I say brave cuz even if you have been badly outboxed or knocked out which Hurd wasnt you must want to grab your belts back when they are still in grasp.
Or it could be a peds thing ofcourse. Timings a bit su****ious isnt it.
Honestly with the ease at which JRock won idk that there needed to be a rematch here so to me this dont suck THAT much. If not for the rematch clause idk that there was a purpose to do a rematch for this one.
This is a red flag 🚩 for me, I always wonder how Hurd makes 154 healthy without gassing in later rounds, Williams asking for VADA random testing and now am exercised rematch is off? This would have got more hits if Joshua had exercise his rematch with Ruiz and then turn around and said NO THANKS after Ruiz said VADA.
