where did the punches land? if its a low blow? You have a fundamental misunderstanding of a low blow. It penalizes a punch to the genital area (but, admittedly, also prohibits punches to the thigh, knee and hips). But what damage does a punch do to your upper thigh
In your example ward hits the "b" but sergs trunks are pulled up and to the side. I mean, where did the punch actually land? The upper hip, or a square shot to the ***els??
In any event, if ward did land a low blow, the ref could only give serg 5 minutes to recover. But serg was done from the right to his head.
Answer me this? Where did Ward punces land?

so now its what we believe? just throw out all the rules!!! i wonder what the ward fans are going to believe....oh shocking they believe it wasnt low. how about just following the rules? thats why they are there. to prevent subjectivity and bias from ruling the day.
i believe that the rules and the ref(before fight) said those punches were low. i believe you dont care about the rules. i believe if you watch this video you will see its clearly low and hit his genitals.

Like I said, were serg's balls behind the "B". Hell no. But he acted as if Ward hit him square on the nuts. All I can say is this. With Serg's trunks pulled up it covered up his navel. And a shot to the belly button has always been legal.
If not, a guy could pull his trunks up to his neck and anything below that would be low.

In my previous post, you can clearly see in the gif that Kovalev was complaining about blows on the belt-line, he would bend forward to play the victim of a foul. Tony Week warned him not to do that.
Andrew Ward even hesitated from continuing his assault because Kovalev would take away the target area by leaning forward, as he did this Ward had to loop his body-shot lower to get around this; this is where the failed Hublot argument comes from.
Dre's punches were legal. Kovalev should of been DQ for refusing to fight.Comment

so you are saying this punch right here is not low? the desperation. when you have nothing i guess you have to just play pretend. the ref also said anything below the k was low so you are wrong on every count. it was low according to weeks...then he changed his mind and stopped the fight in wards favor. thats the whole controversy. yes it was clearly low and the fight shouldnt have been stopped. even if it wasnt "genital low" whatever that means it was still low according to the rules.Like I said, were serg's balls behind the "B". Quit lying... man you dudes are disgusting.most cards had kovalev up so i dont know where you get that from. ward wasnt really doing much clean work in that fight. more wrestling, more holding and hitting, more low blows sure but kovalev was still the one landing the cleaner work.
cept thats not true. we have the video. they were low. just because you want them to be legal doesnt mean they were. please post the video of a legal body punch that kovalev "faked" a punch that didnt stray below the k of kovalev's trunks. i dont think it exists. ive seen people post the misleading gif of 2 punches to kovalevs sides where he turns away but this of course omits the huge low blow that happened right before the gif starts. i guess whatever it takes to get your point across. even if its dishonest

all the punches hit him below where weeks is pointing are you really going to pretend otherwise? you just defeated your own argument. thank you
